Daniel Bryan addresses his return to the ring
Byron Saxton is in the ring, and he introduces Daniel Bryan to the ring to a tremendous reception. Bryan is dressed to compete as a huge “YES!” chant breaks out in the arena. Saxton says that Bryan is in good spirits, and Bryan wonders why he wouldn’t be. He’s back home where he belongs in front of all these great people. Bryan says he’s not here wearing jeans and a flannel. He’s in his gear because he is ready to fight. Saxton says everyone is thrilled to have him back, but the monster he’s about to face almost ended his career a year ago. A replay is shown of Kane viciously assaulting Daniel Bryan last April. Kane gave Bryan three Tombstone Piledrivers at ringside.
Saxton says Bryan has to be taking things more seriously after seeing that footage. Bryan says he is taking things seriously. Nobody knows how dangerous Kane is like he does. Bryan has been out for nine months. First, he and Kane had a rivalry, but then they became a team. They were Team Hell No and were Tag Team Champions for almost nine months. He considered Kane a friend and brother. Kane stabbed him and all the people in the back when he traded his mask in for a suit. Since that time, he’s had doctor after doctor telling him that he’d never wrestle again, but he’s here tonight. Despite what any of those doctors say, he is ready. Bryan tells everyone not to think he isn’t worried about his neck. We don’t know what will happen until he’s in here fighting, but here is how he’ll prove it to himself and the people who have been supporting him for the last nine months: tonight he’ll fight Kane, and he’ll win. In two weeks at the Royal Rumble, he’ll win again. Then in three months at WrestleMania XXXI, he’ll win again! A “YES!” chant breaks out.
Some people think that’s all a pipe dream. They think he’s dreaming himself away thinking he can be as good as he was before. Does he actually think he can do it? Do the people think he can do it? Bryan screams, “YES!” and the people join in.
The Authority’s music hits. Triple H, Seth Rollins, Big Show, J&J Security, and Kane make their way to the ring. Kane will face Bryan in his first match back since May on Thursday Night Smackdown, next.

Tonight, we’ll have a six-man tag to put an end to this little uprising. That’s what’s best for business.
Michael Cole, Byron Saxton, and Jerry “The King” Lawler talk about what just happened. In addition to the match just made by Triple H, we’ll see Bad News Barrett defend the WWE Intercontinental Championship against the man who pinned him on Smackdown last week, Sin Cara. For thousands of years, our society has labeled things like him as a threat. You can only contain a poison of this caliber for so long before it seeps through the cracks and contaminates everything they hold precious. They were right. Wyatt laughs. After he wins the Royal Rumble match, it’ll be too late to run. Accept your fate and follow the buzzards.
The Usos make their entrance followed by Naomi. They’ll be in action against The Miz, Damien Mizdow, and Alicia Fox, next.

Renee Young is backstage with Roman Reigns. She asks how he’ll coexist with people he’ll be competing against at the Royal Rumble. Reigns says if this were the Royal Rumble, those boys would be in for a world of hurt. This is a different situation. Tonight is another opportunity to screw over The Authority. At the Royal Rumble, it’s one versus all, and Ambrose and Bryan fall into the category of “all.” He’s the one, and you can believe that.
Paul Heyman is seen walking furiously backstage. He’ll be out, next.
-Commercial Break-
Paul Heyman addresses Seth Rollins’ actions from RAW
Paul Heyman comes out to the ring as the crowd boos. Replays are shown of the contract signing from RAW. It ended with a brawl that saw Seth Rollins the last one standing as he gave John Cena and Brock Lesnar a pair of Curb Stomps.
Heyman is pacing in the ring and looking irate. Heyman says, “Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Paul Heyman, and I am the advocate for the reigning, defending, undisputed WWE Heavyweight Champion of the World, Brock Lesnar.” Heyman says he doesn’t mind coming out and admitting publicly that for the first time in his career he is afraid. If you think about it, Brock Lesnar as a conqueror does what he does. Lesnar is a beast and does what he wants because he can. When Lesnar conquered The Undertaker’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania, he did it because he could and felt like it. Lesnar had nothing personal against The Undertaker. He wanted to conquer the streak, and that’s what he did because that’s what a conqueror does. When Lesnar took a $100 million franchise named John Cena and dumped him on his head 16-times en route to taking the WWE Title away from him, like taking candy away from a baby. Lesnar did it because he wanted to, could do it, and felt like it because it was a Sunday, and he had nothing better to do that evening.
Now, his client, Brock Lesnar, is ramped up and pissed off. Lesnar is walking around with a purpose because he wants to get his hands on Seth Rollins at the Royal Rumble and F-5 the future right back into the past.
Seth Rollins’ music hits, and Heyman looks absolutely livid. Rollins storms his way down to the ring with J&J Security. Rollins gets in the ring and gets directly in Heyman’s face. Rollins says he is sick and tired of everyone walking around on eggshells thinking they need to be afraid of Brock Lesnar. Rollins is sick of everyone telling him that he hides behind The Authority and J&J Security. Rollins says, “Let me tell you something, Paul. I am not afraid of Brock Lesnar.” Rollins says he’s sick of it. He’s so sick of it, he wants to cash in his Money in the Bank contract tonight. Rollins says it’s time to give Smackdown on Thursday the biggest main event. Heyman says that’s a very interesting challenge, but Rollins knows that his client is not here this evening. The crowd boos that.
Rollins says if he can’t Curb Stomp Lesnar, then he’s going to Curb Stomp Heyman. Heyman says that’s so stereotypical. Heyman tells him to do something original. Everyone always threatens to beat him up when Lesnar isn’t around. Now he’ll Curb Stomp him. Why? Does that make him tough? Heyman looks worried after finishing his statement. Rollins says it doesn’t make him tough. It makes him smart. If he feels like Curb Stomping Paul Heyman, and he really does, then he takes away Brock Lesnar’s greatest asset. Rollins corners Heyman and climbs the ropes to get more in his face. Then at the Royal Rumble, he’s fighting all brawn and no brains. Then Lesnar is reduced to being nothing more than a 300-pound mass of muscle that he will run circles around. Rollins has proven that John Cena is not a threat to him. Rollins tells Heyman to face facts. He has Curb Stomped his client not once, but twice. He’ll Curb Stomp him a third time at the Royal Rumble when he beats him and walks out as the WWE Champion. Rollins orders Heyman to tell him again why he shouldn’t Curb Stomp him right now.
Heyman nervously says he’ll tell him. The Authority is in power now, but they’ve already been removed from power once. What makes Rollins think The Authority can’t be removed from power again by hook, by crook, by the Board of Directors, or by Vince McMahon’s whims? Rollins backs away from Heyman. The future of WWE is a long-term proposition. Since he’s been back in WWE, he’s gained power every single day. When his client, Brock Lesnar, took away The Undertaker’s streak, he gained power. When Brock Lesnar took the WWE Title from John Cena, he gained power. His client, Brock Lesnar, has a death grip on the WWE Championship. Brock Lesnar will control that championship as long as he deems appropriate. Brock Lesnar can control that title by defending the championship or protecting the new champion when he decides the future is now. Heyman then leaves the ring, as Rollins looks confused.
Daniel Bryan will team with Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose to take on Seth Rollins, Kane, and the Big Show.

Renee Young is backstage with the Big Show. Big Show cuts her off and says she won’t take control of this interview and negate what he did on Monday. This past Monday, he knocked out two of WWE’s top superstars. He knocked out John Cena and Roman Reigns. Did she expect anything different? As for the six-man tag match tonight, he’ll knock out Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, and Daniel Bryan. Let’s go to the Royal Rumble match. He’s entering himself into that match. That’s his place. That’s where he dominates. He’ll throw 29 other superstars over the top rope. Who can throw him over the top rope? There’s not a group of men in this company that can eliminate him from the Royal Rumble. Kane walks in and says it seems like Big Show hasn’t heard that he’s also in the Royal Rumble match.

The commentators talk about the WWE Network coming to the United Kingdom and Ireland this Monday, January 19.
Still to come is Daniel Bryan teaming with Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose to face Seth Rollins, Kane, and Big Show.
-Commercial Break-
Dean Ambrose is seen backstage. Ambrose says when he was a kid, he was the one you avoided on the playground because he didn’t play well with others. When he got his report card from school, it always said he was disruptive in class. That serves him well because he’s one of the thirty competitors in the Royal Rumble match. Anyone can win. The person who wins that match won’t care about friendships or any of that “do the right thing” crap. The person who wins won’t give a damn about their physical wellbeing as long as the end justifies the means. Don’t count him out — count him in. As for tonight, two of his opponents in the Royal Rumble are his partners tonight. They’ve got one thing in common — they detest The Authority. Nobody tells him what to do. He just goes out there and does it.
All six competitors in the main event make their respective entrances. The main event is next.
