Are you ready? Then stop questioning your heart and join me, because it’s time for the ECW on Sci-Fi!

We kick off the show with an epic video recap of Dreamer’s successful quest to claim the ECW Championship!

Tiffany is in the ring along with a table and chair. She introduces Tommy Dreamer who comes out in jeans and a sports coat. They are no longer billing her as the ?interim? GM so it looks like my dream has come true and Tiffany will be sticking around for awhile. Tiffany puts over the fact that Dreamer put his entire career on the line and congratulates him. Dreamer seems to be on the verge of tears as he thanks each and every fan for giving him the strength to make this happen.

Tommy is about to sign his NEW contract, but Christian’s music hits and he has something in a little white box. Christian has a mic and says he brought a victory present ? it’s tissues for the ?crybaby?. Dreamer chuckles and sets the tissues down. Christian takes the opportunity to thank Swagger for getting involved and making the match a Triple-Threat in which Christian lost the belt without even being pinned. Christian says he will get a rematch but from one friend to another, he is glad Tommy is still here.

Tommy is finally going to sign the contract ? but NO! ? Swagger’s music hits and he doesn?t look amused. Jack has a full suit on and decides to mock Christian for shaking Dreamer’s hand. Swagger says that no one is happy that Dreamer is still here, especially not those in the production truck who have to see high definition images of Fatty Dreamer’s rear every week.

Jack says that Dreamer shouldn?t be eligible to hold the Title, because he claims that Dreamer’s contract extension that was granted by Tiffany wasn?t kosher. Swagger invites Christian to join him and his lawyers in demanding that the board of directors strip Dreamer of the belt. Christian and Dreamer aren?t at all thrilled by this declaration. They throw Swagger out of the ring!

Tommy goes to the table and FINALLY signs his new contract. Dreamer grabs the Title and heads to the turnbuckle to celebrate. With the Title held over his head we can see the joy and revelry in the aged Superstar’s eyes. Christian sneaks up from behind and slams Dreamer straight through the table!

Tonight’s main event: Christian & Dreamer v. The Hart Dynasty!

****Commercial****

We come back from the commercial and Tiffany is in the back talking to a stage crew guy. Apparently a light began to fall down and ?a guy in green? pushed him out of the way. We follow Tiffany as she walks to the left and runs into Christian. She asks why he slammed Dreamer through the table. Christian retorts that it was a ?receipt? from Dreamer DDT?ing him last week. Tiffany says that Dreamer can?t compete in the main event, which means that Christian’s partner will be none other than Jack Swagger!

Tony Atlas w/ Mark Henry v. Evan Bourne

Evan is clearly oversized in this match, and it is going to come down to whether his quickness will be enough to counter the Hall of Famer’s strength and size. Atlas throws him down to the mat a few times before Evan is able to get a kick in on Tony’s knee. Atlas proceeds to chuck Evan out of the ring. Bourne rolls back in, but is met with a knee to the gut followed by a slam. Atlas goes for the cover, but Bourne kicks out. Tony Atlas locks in the sleeper hold. Bourne manages to get to his feet and knocks Atlas down.

Evan takes a vantage of his surroundings and the ring and launches for a picture perfect standing moonsault. Atlas isn?t too thrilled and Henry is shaking his head on the outside. Bourne heads to the turnbuckle and the crowd holds its breath in anticipation. Evan leaps ? and hits the Shooting Star Press! This match is over!

Winner via Shooting Star Press: Evan Bourne

After the match Henry comes into the ring and punches and slams Evan from behind.

Kozlov v. Two Local Jobbers

Vlad was actually smiling on his way down to the ring tonight. The first partner to enter the ring is wearing yellow tights. He gets thrown to the outside and quickly tags in his red tight wearing partner. Red is slammed to the mat and then thrown out of the ring. Kozlov goes out to get him and rolls Red back into the ring. Kozlov hits a HUGE belly to back suplex on Red sending him to the corner. Red tags in Yellow who comes into the ring only to get hit with the Iron Curtain.

Winner via Iron Curtain: Kozlov

In the back we see Christian and Swagger in the dressing room. Swagger says that he knows Christian doesn?t want to be his partner, but Swagger is a winner. He tells Christian that he will be holding up his end of the deal tonight, so Christian better hold up his.

The Hart Dynasty makes their way down to the ring and Natalya grabs the mic. She puts over their heritage and says that Kidd and Smith will be Champions!

Tyson Kidd & DH Smith w/ Natalya v. Christian & Jack Swagger

Christian and David are the first two to start it off. Christian and DH lock up and then Smith goes bouncing off the ropes. He connects with a shoulder block on Christian which sends him down to the mat. DH back Christian up into the corner and then tags in Tyson Kidd. Tyson starts off with his trademark swift kicks. Tyson goes to the second turnbuckle and leaps at Christian but is slammed to the mat for his effort. Christian is backing up and Swagger hits a blind tag. Swagger comes into the ring to confront Kidd. The two are set to square off as we head to commercial.

We come back and it is DH and Christian in the ring. David lifts Christian up in a suspended vertical suplex and holds him for a decent amount of time. Christian is slammed down to the mat hard. Tyson Kidd gets the tag in and Christian is able to connect with a shoulder block. Christian heads to the second rope and tries for a splash, but Kidd moves. Tyson then goes to the top rope and leaps for a huge moonsault! But Christian moves out of the way! Christian goes to the corner for perhaps the tag, but just slaps Swagger in the face!

DH gets the tag in, but is laid out rather quickly. Christian once again makes the mistake of going for a splash, but this time he fails from the top rope! David crawls his way to the corner and tags in Tyson! Kidd looks for a counter but is instead thrown into the ropes by Christian. It looks like it may be Killswitch time, but Swagger grabs Christian and slams the back of his neck into the rope! Tyson tags in DH and they hit the Hart Attack! This match is over!

Winners via Hart Attack: The Hart Dynasty

After the match Dreamer runs down to the ring with a Kendo stick in hand. The weapon’s presence clears the ring. Tommy and Christian stare each other down as we go off the air.

ECW Thoughts

Well, well, what do you know, Dreamer will be sticking around for awhile. I?ll be the first to admit that I didn?t think this would happen, and I am pleasantly surprised. I?ve treated the last two months as though they were Dreamer’s last. I paid closer attention to his moves, actions, and state. It’s hit or miss with him from week to week, but the guy has been a great standard bearer for the roster.

Like him or hate him, you have to respect the way he has been helping the young guys both on screen and behind the scenes. So you know what, even if I don?t think he has the most athletic prowess on the roster, the guy deserves a medal for the way he has stuck with and stood up for the WWE’s brand. So whether he holds it for a week (he does defend it on RAW this week), a month, or a year, he deserves it.

The show tonight was good but way too similar to last week’s show. We swapped Zach Ryder’s squash match for one of Kozlov’s and we swapped Mark Henry for Tony Atlas. I know that I?m crazy over simplifying but for those that watch the show each week you know what I mean. Things are getting a little too predictable concerning the show’s format.

Tonight a crew member was saved by a ?guy in green?. Could this be building to the return of the Hurricane? Quite possibly, or it could have been Finlay, but I?m going with the former.

I am not one to push for a two hour show because I personally think they pack just enough punch in to the show each week, but it sure seems like they have two separate shows and storylines running which alternate each week.

It’s like watching a soap opera on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You get the characters and storylines which aren?t on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Yeah so I?ve watched my fair share of General Hospital in my day, what’s it to you?

All kidding aside, tonight was a great show, but a bit predictable in terms of formula. Regardless, we got to see some awesome wrestling and Tyson Kidd never disappoints.
