Cedric Alexander vs. Mustafa Ali
The bell rings and both men look elated. The crowd gives them a nice hand. They slap hands and circle the ring. Ali hooks a waistlock, but Alexander turns it and takes him down. Ali fights up, but Alexander shoulder blocks him down. Ali hits the ropes, and they do some counters before Ali hits a hurricanrana. They lock up and tussle into the corner. They shove each other before Alexander kicks him down. Alexander sends him into the ropes, but he lowers his head and eats a kick. Alexander hits a head-scissor takeover followed by a dropkick for a two count. Alexander then works on the arm. Ali fights up and dropkicks him down. Ali charges, but Alexander blocks a kick and knocks him to the floor. Alexander then hits him with a beautiful summersault plancha. Alexander looks at the Cruiserweight Championship at ringside before getting him in the ring for a two count. Alexander then applies a grounded bearhug. Ali fights up, but Alexander slams him with an uppercut before hitting a high back body drop for a two count. Alexander goes back to the bearhug, but Ali elbows out. Alexander clubs him down and chops the chest. Ali counters a suplex, but Alexander knees him in the midsection. Ali makes a comeback with a pair of clotheslines and a chop. Ali kicks him back in the corner and slings himself into the ring for a sit-out face-buster for a two count. Alexander quickly blocks a kick and uppercuts him. Ali hits him with a spinning heel kick, but Alexander stands on his feet. Ali charges, but Alexander takes him out with a Spanish Fly. They’re both down.
The crowd gives them a polite hand. We’re apparently coming back from a USA Network commercial break. Ali boots Alexander back and goes for a tornado DDT, but Alexander stops it. Alexander then crotches him on the top rope. Alexander gets him on the second rope and goes for a Lumbar Check, but Ali fights it. They’re duking it out and both are in a precarious position. Ali then hits Alexander with a Spanish Fly off the top rope! John Cena looks on in disbelief as a fan at ringside. Ali covers Alexander for a near fall. They take their time getting up. Ali sets him up in the corner, but Alexander fights him. Ali goes to the top rope for the 054, but Alexander pushes him off and he lands flat on him face at ringside!

Alexander gets Ali in the ring and covers for a near fall. Alexander signals for the end and kicks him back. Alexander goes for the Lumbar Check, but Ali flips through and hits a reverse hurricanrana! Alexander looks out of it. Ali springboards off the second rope with a tornado DDT! Ali goes to the top rope and hits the 054 Splash, but Alexander gets his foot on the bottom rope. Ali yells at Alexander to stay down. Ali stomps away at Alexander and goes for a second 054 Splash, but Alexander rolls out of the way. They meet in the middle of the ring, and Alexander elbows him in the face. Alexander hits a second back elbow. Alexander says this is enough, but Ali gets to his feet. Alexander then hits a third back elbow. Alexander hits the Lumbar Check to become the new Cruiserweight Champion.
Winner and new Cruiserweight Champion: Cedric Alexander
John Cena gives him a standing ovation at ringside. Drake Maverick gets in the ring and hands Cedric Alexander the Cruiserweight Championship before hugging him.

Good match with Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali. They had a much better, less spotty #Cruiserweight match than in time past. This is my first real experience with the re-hauled division. I liked it. Actual story. #WrestleMania
