“Then. Now. Forever.” The WWE video leads us into the show.

A video kicks off the show featuring many of the careers The Authority has affected throughout its reign. It then shows Mr. McMahon making his return and giving the stipulation that if The Authority loses at Survivor Series, they will be out of power. It then goes to John Cena’s team assembling on this past Monday’s RAW during the contract signing and getting the better of Team Authority. Cena then put Triple H through a table.

Michael Cole interviews Triple H in the ring

Michael Cole is standing in the center of the ring, and he introduces the WWE COO Triple H to the ring. Triple H comes out to cries of disproval from the crowd. Triple H looks none too pleased as he enters the ring. Cole says we are just two days away from Survivor Series in St. Louis, live on PPV on the WWE Network. Three weeks ago, his father in law, Mr. McMahon, made the biggest match in Survivor Series history: Team Cena vs. Team Authority. The caveat is if Team Authority loses, then Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are out of power. Cole says it seems like Mr. McMahon was offering a family challenge.

Cole asks if he realizes that this could be the final night they could conduct an interview like this in a WWE ring. Triple H tells Cole to be cautious of the questions he asks otherwise this might be the last interview Cole does one way or the other. Cole asks if he realizes — and this is not his opinion, but fact — that the WWE Universe loathes Triple H and his wife. Cole asks if he can imagine the glee and euphoria if Team Authority loses this Sunday at Survivor Series. It would be like 1980 when the United States hockey team defeated the Soviet Union in “The Miracle on Ice.” It would be like the Red Sox winning the World Series after 86 years. It would be like the University of Tennessee winning the national championship. Triple H asks Cole if he thinks the peoples’ opinion of him matters. Triple H says he appreciates the WWE Universe. Without all of them, there would be no WWE. On the flip side of that coin, without The Authority there is no WWE Universe. He and his wife make decisions every day based on the best interest of everyone in the WWE Universe. Like little kids, their opinions of him when he makes those decisions are irrelevant.

Cole says statements like that are why many people are speculating that this is about the legacy of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. The rumor is that their egos are so out of control that they’ve completely lost sight of the task at hand. Due to their egos, the rumor is they no longer know how to lead. Triple H says he’ll let Cole in on a little secret. Triple H gets close to him and says life is a marathon and not a sprint. He got the name “The Cerebral Assassin” during the Attitude Era. At that time, the talent here was unbelievable: Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, Mick Foley, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, and Triple H were the elite of the elite. Some could argue that those guys were more popular or bigger stars than him. What is not an argument is that they’re all gone, and he’s still here. The truth is they could never last that long. The reason why is because he’s smarter than all of them. He’s always been smarter than all of them. What that means is what he says all the time: The Authority always wins. They are the constant and always will be here, like it or not.

Cole says when/if he loses on Sunday, he’ll be gone as well. There will be no Authority. What will RAW be like on Monday with no Authority in charge. Triple H says Vince McMahon is the greatest mind that has ever existed in this industry. Without him, there would be no WWE. McMahon did that because he was smarter than everyone else. In a time when there was many, he outlasted them all until there was only one: Vince McMahon and the WWE. WWE exists today because of Vince McMahon. It’s not ego or bragging when he says there are only two people on the face of this planet that can take his place. There are only two people on this planet that can do what Vince McMahon. One is his wife, Stephanie, and Cole is standing in the ring with the other one. Without them, this place has no future. If you take them out of the equation, he gives the company a year or two maximum. That won’t happen. If you take them out of the equation, it’ll be three months before everyone begs them to come back. Without them, this place is a sinking ship. Without them, the WWE has no future.

Cole asks what we can expect if he wins on Sunday. Triple H says that’s the interesting question and the real one. Cole interviewed John Cena on WWE.com this past Wednesday. Cena had an interesting answer to the question of if he feels responsible for his team. Triple H wants the footage aired, but first he wants to invite Team Cena to come out. Triple H asks them to come to the stage because he wants to hear Cena’s answer and then let them hear his response to it.

Dolph Ziggler, Big Show, Erick Rowan, and Ryback make their way out to the stage. John Cena is not with them. The footage then rolls of John Cena answering the question on Wednesday. Cena says he’s given it a lot of thought, and he is asking them to make a leap of faith. Cena is asking them to put their livelihoods on the line. They have to win for that reason. Triple H says Cena feels responsible for his team and is asking them to take a leap of faith. Triple H says the thing is they better hope that Cena’s feelings cover all of that. When they lose, and they will lose, on Monday, every single one of them is fired! The members of Team Cena look apprehensive as the crowd boos the announcement.

-Commercial Break-

Dean Ambrose reveals his Survival Kit for Sunday

Dean Ambrose makes his way to the ring to a nice reception from the crowd. Ambrose says he’s not the average, run of the mill WWE Superstar. They say he has quirks and a screw loose, but he doesn’t care. If he’s proven anything, it’s that he’s a survivor. He’ll continue to thrive and survive in the WWE no matter who or what stands in his way. Ambrose wants to tell a story from when he was a young boy. His mother gave him $20 to go to the store to get cigarettes and some lottery tickets. Walking to the store, he ran into some older boys. They roughed him up and took his money. He told his mom what happened. His mother gave him a pair of brass knuckles and told him to not let it happen again. She told him that the brass knuckles are his survival kit.

Ambrose says he carries a survival kit everywhere he goes. Now it’s his hands, his feet, his knees, and his head. He is his own walking survival kit. He’ll bite, scratch, claw, punch and kick at Survivor Series. He’ll break Bray Wyatt’s nose and teeth. He’ll never want to open his mouth again. He won’t stop until Wyatt’s eyes are swollen shut. All Wyatt needs in his survival kit is the ability to run and hide in the shadows. Wyatt said a lot of things about him and his dad. A lot of it is true, but it doesn’t matter. Wyatt got under his skin, but that’s bad for him. Wyatt isn’t talking to a child. He’s talking to a grown man. Ambrose is the hunter, and Wyatt is the prey. At Survivor Series, he’ll be stalked, tormented, and ultimately he will be put down.

Bray Wyatt’s video flashes on the screen. Wyatt is seen on the titantron in a jail cell. Wyatt asks if this is how Ambrose remembers his father as he was locked inside a cage like an animal. Wyatt imitates Ambrose’s father before laughing. Wyatt says behind these bars shows that the apple does not fall far from the tree. This is Ambrose’s future. He’ll be trapped inside a prison of his own design. He’ll beg for freedom that he’ll never see. Wyatt says it doesn’t have to be like this. They could have been different. They could have ruled the world, but Ambrose changed all that. Instead, he’ll leave this cell and then he’ll leave Ambrose drowning in a pool of his own filth, just like daddy did. It’ll never end in here for Ambrose. It never ends. Wyatt laughs before silently saying, “It never ends.”

Renee asks for their reaction to Triple H’s declaration that every member of Team Cena, except for John Cena, will be fired if they lose on Sunday. Big Show says what Triple H said made them all think pretty hard. They could lose their jobs. Just like Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, if they can lose their jobs, they can lose their jobs as well. Big Show says the stipulation had the opposite effect Triple H was talking about. They want nothing more than to rid the WWE of The Authority. They won’t back down. They’re in this far and will finish it.

Ryback says actions have consequences. He knew his job would be on the line, but that just makes The Big Guy hungrier. Tonight, The Big Guy and The Big Show will feed on Kane and Seth Rollins. On Sunday, The Authority’s empire will crumble at the feet of Team Cena and Team Ryback.

Dolph Ziggler says The Authority put him through the grind week after week. On RAW, he lost the Intercontinental Championship. The reason it was so special was he shared it with the WWE Universe. Ziggler says he’s not afraid of losing his job because you have nothing to fear when you have nothing to lose. They have the chance to put The Authority out of power, and he won’t back down now.

Renee asks if Erick Rowan has something to add. Rowan removes his mask and says, “Freedom.” That’s it. They all put their fists in and repeat what he said.
