“Then. Now. Forever.” The WWE video leads us into the show.
The show opens with a highlight package of what The Shield went through this past Monday on RAW. Dean Ambrose lost his WWE United States Championship, which he held for nearly a year, to Sheamus in a 20-man battle royal. Triple H then booked The Shield in a match against The Wyatt Family in the main event. In the main event, The Shield nearly had the match won until Evolution came out and cost them the win. Evolution then beat The Shield down, and it culminated with them giving Roman Reigns the Triple Powerbomb, The Shield’s finishing move.
Michael Cole and JBL welcome us to the show. Sheamus, the new WWE United States Champion, makes his way to the ring. He’ll be having his first title defense to kick off the show.

Rob Van Dam and Big E vs. Cesaro and Bad News Barrett
Before the match begins, Barrett says he’s sure everyone is enjoying the new climate in WWE with him as your WWE Intercontinental Champion. However, he’s afraid he’s got some bad news. Climate change isn’t just sweeping through WWE, it’s sweeping through the entire nation. Thanks to your apathy, extreme temperatures, droughts, and super-storms are heading your way. That means very soon, just like Big E, you’ll all be forgotten pieces of history. Barrett thanks them very much, and he laughs heartily.

RVD spins him and goes for a spin kick, but Cesaro ducks, causing RVD to accidentally hit Big E with the kick. It was kind of whiffed due to Big E being a bit out of position. The Wyatt Family is shown backstage. Bray Wyatt holds up a burning match. Wyatt says there is so much beauty in a flame. Wyatt says the flame holds no prejudice. Anything can burn – you just have to find the right spark. Mountains must crumble, oceans must boil, and everything that they have built must be turned to ash. We are all just slaves to judgment. It is judgment that tells him he must survive and adapt. It is John Cena’s judgment that tells him to fear Wyatt. It is not the fear that sets him apart from Cena. It is the distance he is willing to go. Where they’re going, nobody ever comes back. Wyatt laughs before the camera zooms in on Luke Harper, who has a wild look on his face.
