“Then. Now. Forever.” The WWE video leads us into the show.

A video of what happened between Daniel Bryan and The Authority on Monday Night RAW kicks off the show. Bryan challenged Triple H to a match at WrestleMania XXX, but was again denied. Later in the night, The Authority attacked Bryan, and Triple H laid him out with a Pedigree.

The Smackdown video plays, and we’re brought into the arena. Michael Cole and JBL welcome us to the show. Tonight, Big Show will make his return to Smackdown.

Batista’s music hits, and he makes his way to the ring in a black vest, skinny jeans, and sunglasses. The fans in Detroit boo him as he goes down the ramp. Batista says he asked a simple question last week on Smackdown: “Where have all the real men in the WWE gone?” The answer he got – Dolph Ziggler. Batista says Ziggler is a pretty boy wannabe looking for his fifteen minutes of fame, and he destroyed him immediately, just like he said he would. Last Monday on RAW, what does he get again? Another one of the fans’ heroes – a sawed off, goat faced troll named Daniel Bryan. As they’re all aware, it was the same outcome. He destroyed him in the middle of the ring, and it was simple. Bryan is no superhero. He’s the superhero. He’s the guy they paid to see. However, he’s a humble man, and he doesn’t need them to cheer him.

Daniel Bryan’s music hits, and he comes out to a tremendous reception from the crowd. Bryan wants to get a few things straight. Batista thinks he’s the hero? Before Batista can answer, Bryan polls the people. Bryan asks the crowd if Batista is a hero, and they shout, “NO!” Batista wonders who it could be then. It’s certainly not Bryan, according to him. Batista says the thing that went wrong with this business is the day they let fans like Bryan into the locker room. That’s all Bryan is: an overblown fan. Batista tells Bryan to go out to the box office, buy a ticket, and watch him main event WrestleMania and become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Bryan says Batista’s skinny jeans must be too tight, as they seem to be cutting off circulation to his brain. Last Monday, Batista did leave him lying, but that’s after Randy Orton attacked him from behind, and he took him down. It was also after Corporate Kane tried to interfere, and he took him down. It was also after Triple H stuck his big corporate nose in his business, and he kicked him in the head. Before all of that, he had Batista beat. That’s because he is a fan, just like the people in the crowd. A big “YES!” chant breaks out. Bryan says Batista should be slightly embarrassed that a “fan” nearly took him out on Monday night. Batista says Bryan needs to get something in his head: do not presume to know what he thinks. Not only is he bigger, faster, stronger, and better looking than Bryan, but he is also smarter. Batista will always be one step ahead of Bryan. Batista tells everyone to deal with this fact: when he stepped back into the WWE Universe, it became his universe. Only through the goodness of his heart is Bryan allowed in his universe. If Bryan keeps mouthing off, he has zero problems with ending his existence in his universe.

Bryan says that kind of sounds like a threat. Bryan isn’t sure he wants to be in a universe where they wear a vest like that, wear sunglasses, have skinny jeans, and think belly button tattoos are cool. Batista angrily takes off his sunglasses. Bryan asks if a nose ring is really awesome. Batista goes for a clothesline, but Bryan ducks it. Bryan punches away at him before dropkicking him out of the ring. Bryan leads the crowd in a “YES!” chant.

Kane’s pyro explodes, and he makes his way to the ring unbuttoning his shirt. Batista attacks Bryan from behind as Kane gets in the ring. Batista clotheslines Bryan, and they begin to double-team Bryan. Big Show’s music then hits, and he runs down to the ring to a nice reception from the crowd. Kane and Batista quickly get out of the ring as Big Show stands next to his friend.

EXCUSE ME! Vickie Guerrero comes out to the stage to boos. Vickie says if you were to ask her, the four of them are acting like a bunch of animals. Later tonight, they will have the opportunity to settle this like men. Kane and Batista will team up to face the team of Big Show and Daniel Bryan. Big Show and Bryan like what they’ve heard.

The Shield will hold a summit later tonight to discuss their problems. Seth Rollins walked out on them on Monday Night RAW during a match against The Wyatt Family.

The Shield holds a summit in the ring

The Shield’s music hits. Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose make their way to the ring through crowd without Seth Rollins. Footage is shown of Seth Rollins walking on The Shield during their six-man tag team match against The Wyatt Family on RAW. The Shield wound up losing. Dean Ambrose says they can handle getting beat up, hurt, and physical pain. There is one thing he can’t and will not tolerate, and that is being lied to by somebody that he trusts. Ambrose says he feels like he’s been lied to for the past eighteen months. Ambrose thought The Shield always had each other’s backs, but Seth Rollins didn’t have their back on RAW. Rollins walked out on them in the middle of a war. Ambrose says they’re not much for talking. Since Rollins is here and called for the summit, Ambrose suggests he comes out and say what he wants to say. Ambrose says he better come out and explain himself because judging from the look on Roman’s face, he has about thirty seconds.

The music of The Shield plays again, and Seth Rollins comes to the ring from near the stage. Rollins gets on the apron and stares at them. Reigns says that before Rollins opens his mouth, he hopes he has thought about what he’s going to say. It better be good. Rollins says he gets it. Leaving them to fight The Wyatts three-on-two on RAW maybe wasn’t the most opportune time to prove a point. What they don’t understand is that the war isn’t with The Wyatts. The war is within them. It’s no secret that The Shield hasn’t been The Shield for some time. Still, he did what he’s always done on Monday. Rollins says he sacrificed himself for the greater good to get themselves on the same page. Ambrose says he didn’t realize Rollins was sacrificing himself when he left them for dead against The Wyatts. There is a big difference between what Rollins did and what he did. He fought off while Rollins walked off.

Rollins tells them to look at themselves. For the first time in months, they’re standing together in the ring, on the same page, and seeing things eye to eye. He’s already proven his point. He’s already halfway there. Rollins gets in the ring and looks Reigns in the eye. Rollins says they can call this right now and go their separate ways. They’ll be fine as they’re all talented men, but what if “fine” isn’t good enough. From the moment they came to WWE, they’ve been kicking down walls. If they stand together united, no one can touch them. Not The Wyatts, the Undertaker, John Cena, or anyone else. Rollins suggests they do what they do. Rollins wants them to be The Shield and take this place back. Ambrose asks if that is it. Ambrose shoves him down a few times, and Reigns shoves Ambrose down.

Rollins says he knows what will make this work and make him feel better. Rollins then slaps Ambrose in the face. Rollins says he feels a lot better. That felt great. Rollins says now that it is out of his system, Ambrose probably has something to get out of his system. Rollins will allow him a shot to get them on the same page. Ambrose then lays him out with a straight right hand. Rollins slowly gets to his feet and asks if they’re done here, or are they done? Rollins holds his fist out. Reigns stares at it before putting his fist together with Rollins’. Ambrose takes some time to think it over before putting his fist together with the other two. They then stare at the crowd as their music hits.
