Live in the arena, the Smackdown Live roster is on stage while Shane is in the ring. We see clips of Extreme Rules where Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre lost to the Undertaker and Roman Reigns.
Shane says that Kevin Owens has the night off but Owens did give him an idea and that was to hold the first ever Smackdown Live town hall. He asks who would like to go first and up steps Roman Reigns to the microphone.
Roman Reigns says no one in the room respects Shane. And as far as diplomacy, Shane can kiss his ass as Roman goes backstage. Shane says that’s not respectful, he will be fined and he’ll deal with him later. Shane asks someone else, Charlotte Flair. She steps up and says that was uncalled for. She says from one family to another, thank you. She thanks the McMahon family for being nothing but gracious to her sicne the day she aws born and it makes her sick to her stomach that Kevin would take advantage of her kindness.
Liv Morgan cuts her off and tells her to stop being such a phony. She asks Charlotte if there is anything real about her. Charlotte asks her who she is and if she even works her. Morgan says it’s because of people like Charlotte that people like her don’t get an opportunity. Up steps Shane who cuts them off. He asks Buddy Murphy to speak.

Zelina says that she doesn’t appreciate that Apollo is trying to kiss up to the WWE Universe. Zelina asks Apollo to prove his worth in the ring tonight with Andrade. And with that, Andrade calls him out in Spanish.
Elias steps in and says hello, I am not Kevin Owens. I am Elias. Xavier Woods cuts him off along with Big E. They insult Elias. Kofi says he doesn’t like Kevin Owens but he is making some good points. Kofi asks how long did it take for him to get a shot at the WWE title? Too long. And everyone on the stage has the potential to do good things and his microphone is cut off. Shane says this is the WWE champion and he apologizes for the microphone going off.
Shane thanks everyone and the first ever town hall is now concluded.
Cesaro steps in and says he has something to say. Shane says he’s on Raw not Smackdown. Cesaro says as a wild card he is here to challenge Aleister Black to pick a fight with him. Shane asks if he wants that tonight and Cesaro says yes. Shane says he has his wish.
Shane says he hopes this demonstrates a few things. In comes Kevin Owens from behind who botches a stunner. Owens mocks Shane’s dancing and leaves the ring through the crowd.
A fun start to Smackdown. We have Cesaro against Aleister Black which means we are guaranteed a great match. I hope Cesaro wins and this leads to a Summerslam match. Also, botchamania with that stunner. #SDLive
