“Then. Now. Forever.” The WWE video leads us into the show.
The entire WWE Raw roster, along with Vince McMahon, is assembled on the stage with an image of Pat Patterson on the video screen. A 10 bell salute is heard for the legend.
The Raw video plays, and we go into the arena. Tonight’s show will feature WWE Champion Drew McIntyre and Sheamus taking on AJ Styles, The Miz, and John Morrison.
Randy Orton makes his way to the ring.
Video Package: Randy Orton goads The Fiend into coming out last week on Raw
Orton says any ordinary man would tremble at the mere thought of facing The Fiend, but he is no ordinary man. He smashed his moral compass years ago. There is no boundary he won’t cross. Orton doesn’t need to wear a mask to let the darkness out. When the time comes… when HIS time comes… he will stare the devil in the eyes and let him know the most evil son of a bitch has come home. In the meantime, he’ll knock on the Funhouse door waiting and wondering who will let him in.
The Firefly Funhouse is heard, and we see Bray Wyatt on the big screen. Wyatt says Alexa Bliss isn’t here tonight since Orton was mean to her. Orton says he’s not playing games. Wyatt starts up a 1980s themed game show called, “Let’s get Randy.” Wyatt shows off some bizarre prizes such as a metal weapon and the rotting carcass of the Friendship Frog. The question is how should Randy Orton be punished at WWE TLC. Mercy the Buzzard buzzes in, but you can’t understand what it says. Huskus the Pig says Orton should eat an endless buffet. The Ramblin’ Rabbit tells Wyatt and Orton to discuss their feelings. Wyatt calls him sick. None of the contestants are correct. Wyatt says HE always has the right answer.
Orton says if Wyatt wants to play games then he’ll play. Orton wants a match with Bray Wyatt. He’ll get The Fiend at TLC, but tonight he wants Wyatt. Wyatt happily accepts. Orton smirks.
Not much of an opening segment with Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt. Just there, but I am looking forward to seeing what they do with Orton and the Funhouse. #WWERaw

They could have done so much more with Asuka and Shayna Baszler, which is the first time they've done it, but women's wrestling on #WWERaw doesn't seem like a true priority right now. Just a complete nothing match.

Yep, still going. This may be the worst booked stable in wrestling history. What is the point? At least Mia Yim's mask stayed on this week, but it barely hung on. #WWERaw https://t.co/ZzwWYtmHLj

The Miz and John Morrison are in the ring for another Miz TV segment. The Miz puts over Tribute to the Troops yesterday and a new Miz and Mrs on Thursday. He then introduces AJ Styles, the #1 Contender for the WWE Championship.

John Morrison says that will be must see… if McIntyre makes it to TLC. The Miz says they’ll annihilate McIntyre and Sheamus in a handicap match tonight with Styles. Morrison mocks McIntyre’s Scottish accent, while Miz mocks Sheamus’ Irish accent. Styles says that was good.
Sheamus’ music hits, and he comes out sarcastically putting over their performances. As entertaining as that was, he’s tired of people saying he’ll betray his best friend. Sheamus says if they were in a pub in Dublin and heard these two tourists talking nonsense like this, he’d nail their faces to the bar and put them in the gutter where they belong. Morrison says Sheamus isn’t good at math. They point out Sheamus is outnumbered. Sheamus says they’re not exactly right.
WWE Champion Drew McIntyre makes his way to the ring. McIntyre and Sheamus get in the ring. McIntyre says Styles made a lot of threats, but McIntyre makes promises. Styles may get an advantage, but McIntyre always overcomes odds including “Jackass and the Beanstalk.” As for Miz and Morrison, no matter how many times they get knocked down, they come back for more. People say Miz has no balls, but he doesn’t agree. Miz has balls, but not his original pair. Maryse has those locked up. Miz has Morrison’s balls after he made him a sidekick bitch.
Styles stands next to Omos and says it’s really 4-on-2. A brawl breaks out, and McIntyre and Sheamus quickly clear the ring. Styles and Omos never got in the ring.
Feels like I'm seeing some version of this Miz TV segment on repeat now. I have a feeling this will be the entire month of December. #WWERaw

As a rule I almost always hate any handicap match because of the torture inflicted upon wrestling fans from 2014-2015 with The Authority way overusing them, but this one was really good. Great action throughout and a good finish. #WWERaw

Well that match stunk. As always, Bray Wyatt is a great character until the bell rings… and then it's a complete drag. People can shout about the genius of Bray Wyatt and be perfectly correct, but they booked themselves into a corner matchwise with the character. #WWERaw
— Wrestleview.com (@wrestleview) December 8, 2020
Aside from a good Handicap Match and interesting stuff with Drew McIntyre and Sheamus, this #WWERaw was a drag. That first hour was particularly horrible and the main event was not worth the wait, not like anyone could have thought it would be. So in other words, WWE in December.
