Brock Lesnar’s music hits. Here comes the WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar along with Paul Heyman to a loud reaction in Cleveland!
Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman kick off RAW
Paul Heyman has the mic, introduces himself and presents the reigning, defending, undisputed Universal Heavyweight Champion, Brock Lesnar.
Heyman talks about Lesnar’s beatdown of Reigns last week on RAW. He turns everyone’s attention to the “graphic footage” from last week.
We see a highlight of the “suspended” Roman Reigns confronting RAW GM Kurt Angle, attacking U.S. Marshals in the ring and Lesnar attacking a handcuffed Reigns.
Back live, Heyman says he has breaking news. “The temporary suspension of Roman Reigns has been lifted.” He says the fans are probably expecting Reigns to walk out here and confront them ready for a fight. “Here’s breaking news item number two. Ladies and gentleman, Roman Reigns is not here this evening.” Heyman says he can’t give the credit to Lesnar for Reigns not being here tonight. “You see Roman Reigns was raised by his father, a legend. A WWE Hall of Famer. Sika and his uncle, a legend, a WWE Hall of Famer, Afa.” He talks about Reigns being raised to be a “Samoan bad ass.” Heyman says it’s a shame they didn’t raise Reigns to be a man. “Because a man would be here tonight.” He wonders why Reigns isn’t here to weeks before WrestleMania. Heyman cuts a long promo about how Lesnar would always be a man and show up. “Roman Reigns isn’t man enough to show up tonight to take another beating from Brock Lesnar. Which is why at WrestleMania, on April 8, Roman Reigns isn’t man enough to take the Universal Title away from the reigning, defending, undisputed, Universal Heavyweight Champion, Brock Lesnar!”
As Lesnar holds up the Universal Championship, Heyman stops talking and Lesnar drops his hands down. They spot Roman Reigns in the crowd walking towards the ringside area.
Reigns has a steel chair in hand. Lesnar jumps out and cuts off Reigns with a big clothesline. Lesnar is shaking his head as he starts to pick up Reigns.
Reigns drives Lesnar face first into the steel ring post. Reigns cracks the steel chair over the back of Lesnar. Reigns again cracks the chair over Lesnar’s back.
Lesnar is rolling around and screaming out in pain. Reigns jumps off the steel steps. Lesnar catches Reigns and gives him an overhead suplex on the floor!
Lesnar grabs the steel steps at ringside and hits Reigns in the face with them. Lesnar tosses the steel steps back inside the ring and tosses Reigns inside the ring.
Lesnar picks up the steel steps, Reigns is back up and Lesnar hits him in the face again. Lesnar grabs the steel chair and cracks it over the back of Reigns four times.
The crowd chants “ONE MORE TIME.” Lesnar cracks the chair over Reigns’ back again. Lesnar jumps out and Heyman hands him the Universal Championship.
Lesnar goes to leave, but hands the title back to Heyman and gets back inside. Lesnar with an F5 to Reigns right over the top of the steel steps! Reigns grabs his ribs right away.
Lesnar stands on top of the steel steps and throws the Universal Championship over his shoulder. He looks down at Reigns and starts laughing pointing at the WrestleMania sign.
Later Tonight: John Cena vs. Kane in a No DQ rules match. “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey will also appear live tonight. Nia Jax vs. Mickie James is up next.
Very strong way to open the show tonight with Brock Lesnar beating up Roman Reigns for the second week in a row, they are really trying to build sympathy for Reigns ahead of #WrestleMania, I'm not convinced that path will work, but it still made very a strong segment #RAW

Good match between Nia Jax and Mickie James tonight, good storytelling by James setting up distractions and working the knee of Jax, still seems really odd to see Jax crying/whining about Bliss given how they've presented her as a strong character for so long #RAW

While I've heard good things about the revamped #205Live, all four men – Alexander, Ali, Gulak and TJP – received absolutely ZERO reaction from the Cleveland crowd tonight, I know they want to give these guys some prime time exposure but yikes does the crowd not care #RAW

Not a bad showing from Ronda tonight, she's definitely getting more comfortable on the microphone which is good to see, always fun to see Ronda judo toss the hell out of someone, some of the mechanics are a bit slow but she'll get there eventually #RAW

The #Undertaker only has one week left…
What's it going to be? #RAW @JohnCena pic.twitter.com/yQiGYVgVWb
— WWE (@WWE) March 27, 2018
Welp, no Undertaker tonight as many were expecting, this was probably a big letdown for the viewing audience, but I don't totally mind dragging this thing out to one more week to really build up the hype for #WrestleMania showdown #RAW
— Wrestleview.com (@wrestleview) March 27, 2018
Overall, this was a #RAW with a very strong two hours and a dull third hour, it picked up a tad with the build for Cena/Undertaker, I'm sure many fans were disappointed without a resolution two weeks out from #WrestleMania, they really have to hit it out of the park next week
