During the pre-show, the following was announced.

Triple H intros the show with his now customary pump-up speech. Video package highlights the big matches tonight, while showcasing the history of NXT since 2012.

Tye Dillinger, Roderick Strong, Kassius Ohno and Ruby Riot vs. SAnitY (Eric Young, Killian Dain, Alexander Wolfe and Nikki Cross) in a 8-Person Tag Team Match

SAnitY comes out with their faces painted like the rock band, Motionless in White, who did one of the themes for the show.

This is Riot’s NXT in-ring debut, aka the former Heidi Lovelace, who made her name in SHIMMER and CHIKARA. Ohno was revealed as the substition partner for the babyface team, replacing No Way Jose. Kassius dressed in Sacramento Kings NBA- influenced attire.

Wolfe dances around early, only to get DRILLED with a short right by Ohno.

SAnitY gets some shots in on Ohno, but he tags in Strong, who unloads with rapid-fire offense to the SAnitY members to a great reaction from the Orlando crowd.

SAnitY eventually takes over on Strong. “Shave Your Back” chants directed at the big Killain Dain.

SAnitY continues to work over Strong, making quick tags. Anytime Strong tries to fight back, they cut him off. Eventually, Strong avoids a Young charge and gets in Dillinger.

Riot and Cross get into it, then Dillinger wipes out SAnitY with dives. Wolfe avoids an Ohno dive as Ohno shows off his agility, then drills Wolfe with an elbow. Dain nails Ohno, then Cross stops Riot from doing a dive. They brawl some more, then Dillinger superkicks Dain, but Wolfe breaks up the pin. Ohno with a Pump Knee to Wolfe, then hits the Death Blow. Young hits Ohno with a neckbreaker. Strong then stops the Showstopper Neckbreaker by Young to Dillinger with the Sick Kick. Strong and Dain square off, but Cross jumps on Strong’s back, then Riot does the same to Dain. Cross sent outside and Riot wipes her out with a missile dropkick off the apron. Wolfe stops the Tyebreaker by Dillinger on Dain and Dain hits the Ulster Plantation to give SAnitY the win.

Winners: SAnitY

Aleister Black (Tommy End) makes his NXT debut vs. Andrade “Cien” Almas

Black comes out, being risen up in a Hannibal Lector-style chair, to a heavy metal theme.

Almas avoids a kick from Black early and does his former Los Ingobernables stablemate, New Japan’s Tetsuya Naito, classic laid-back pose.

Almas sent outside and Black shows off his agility before doing an indian-style sitting pose. Black begins uncorking his kick-based offense on Almas. Almas begins working Black over, while constantly taunting and posing. Almas with a cross armbreaker in the ropes, then a missile dropkick. Black fights back with knees and kicks and elbow strikes, then wipes him out outside with an Orihara Moonsault.

Almas goes back to the cross armbreaker in the ropes. Black slams down Almas from the ropes, but Almas locks in a Oomaplata submission, before Black can get to the ropes. Black avoids the Basement Shotgun Knees in the corner, then both nail each other with head kicks and go down. Almas hits a Cartwheel Double Pele Kick for a close nearfall. Almas is able to hit the Basement Shotgun Knees in the corner, but Black stops the Hammerlock DDT. Almas then with a Straitjacket German for another close nearfall. Black catches Almas with a leaping knee, two push kicks and the Black Mass (Spin Kick) for the win.

The Authors of Pain (Akam and Rezar) w/Paul Ellering defend the NXT Tag Team Titles vs. #DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) and The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) in a Triple Threat Elimination Match

Before the match, NXT GM William Regal is out there to unveil the brand-new NXT Tag Team title belts.

DIY and Revival stare each other down, then all 4 turn and look at the Authors. Both teams go after the Authors early. DIY sets up a table outside. DIY send Akam into the steps as the Revival take care of Rezar. DIY and Revival then get back in and stare each other down before squaring off. DIY runs double-team offense on the Revival.

Eventually, Akam gets back in and mows down DIY. The Authors work over Ciampa. Ciampa fights back, but the Revival avoids a tag. Revival finally get in, with Gargano nailing Dawson with the Slingshot Spear for a nearfall. Apron Superkick by Gargano to Akam, then Ciampa wipes out Rezar outside, followed by a Gargano dive to Akam. Authors catch Gargano off another dive, then drive Gargano into Ciampa when he tries to dive and chuck Gargano into Dawson. Authors work over Gargano some more.

Dawson nails Akam, allowing Ciampa to tag in and make a comeback. Ciampa with a snap German to Akam, followed by slaps, knees and another German. Running Knockout Knee by Ciampa for a close nearfall.


Ciampa grabs Rezar from the apron by the table, then Gargano as well as Rezar tries to hold on. Revival nails Rezar and DIY powerbombs Rezar through the table!

Authors continue to fight back, then Dawson and Gargano trap Akam in a double submission, but Rezar sends Ciampa and Wilder into the pile to somehow break up the double submission. Loud “This is Awesome” chants by Orlando.

DIY and Revival then join forces to take out the Authors with their double-team moves, Dawson and Gargano hitting Sharks in the Water and Ciampa and Wilder hitting Shatter Machine. Ellering then eggs the two teams on to square off again, which they do so. Authors get back in, but the two teams take them out again, with Wilder and Gargano wiping them out with stereo dives.

Dawson and Gargano fight up top and Dawson with a top rope superplex to Ciampa to the outside, wiping out everyone!

Rezar tags in and nails Dawson. Akam in and the Authors hit Ciampa with the Last Chapter to eliminate DIY.

DIY has been eliminated.

Crowd is NOT happy about the DIY elimination. Authors now work over Wilder. Revival fights back and they hit a Top Rope Clothesline/Powerbomb combo to Rezar, then a Second Rope Uppercut/German combo for a close nearfall. Revival goes for their Trailer Hitch combo, but Rezar stops it and chokeslams Dawson. Akam in, but Wilder stops the Last Chapter. Dawson pins down Akam for a close nearfall. Authors hit stereo powerbombs on the Revival. Wilder sent outside. Akam goes for a powerbomb on Dawson, but he is dead-weight. Wilder grabs Rezar, inside cradle by Dawson on Akam for 2. Authors with stereo Blu-Rays to the Revival inside and outside the ring. Authors hit the Super Collider on the Revival to retain the titles.

Asuka defends the NXT Women’s Title vs. Ember Moon

Asuka with a good reaction, coming out to her usual cocky entrance.

Before the match, NXT GM William Regal unveils the brand-new NXT Women’s title belt.

Chain wrestling and a stalemate between the two. Asuka extends her hand, but as Ember goes to shake, Asuka pulls back. Ember responds with a handstand headscissors. Shoving match ensues and some trash-talk, then Asuka nails Ember with the Butt Bump. Ember gets right back up and responds with a dropkick. Ember taunts Asuka and hits a series of kicks. Asuka avoids a baseball slide and knocks Ember off the apron and into the barricade with another Butt Bump.

Asuka unloads with backfists and kicks to Ember, taking control. Ember fights back, but Asuka with another Butt Bump. Ember blocks the Asuka Lock and hits a sliding forearm, sending Asuka outside. Ember then wipes out Asuka with a Triangle Crossbody, ala Christian. Ember goes for the Eclipse, but Asuka avoids it and hits a Shining Wizard for a nearfall. More kicks by Asuka, regaining control. Asuka goes for the Asuka Lock again, but Ember continues to fight it. Asuka has the body scissors applied and Ember begins to fade. Ember gets back to her feet and drives Asuka down to get free.

Ember avoids another Butt Bump and DRILLS Asuka with a superkick in the ropes. Both avoid each other’s kicks, then Ember with a headscissors, a basement dropkick, more kicks and a Capture Suplex. Ember hits the Front Cartwheel Clothesline, but Asuka catches her in the ropes and hits a German from the ropes for a close nearfall.

They trade strikes until Ember hits a discus forearm. Asuka pops right up, but then Ember with another Capture Suplex for a close nearfall. Asuka stops Ember on the ropes, but Ember counters a superplex with a gourdbuster. Ember heads up top, but then Asuka shoves the ref into the ropes, crotching Ember. Knockout Kick by Asuka to retain the title.

Winner and STILL NXT Women’s Champion: Asuka

Bobby Roode defends the NXT Title vs. Shinsuke Nakamura in the main event

Shinsuke comes out to his usual, great entrance, sporting bengal-style print on his pants and jacket.

Roode then comes out to a piano introduction of his “Glorious” theme.

Pre-match intros for this one, then NXT GM William Regal unveils the brand-new NXT title belt.

Big dueling chants by Orlando for both men as the match starts. Nice back-and-forth stuff early from the two. Roode blocks a suplex outside and nails Nakamura with a dropkick, then sends him off the apron and into the barricade. Roode takes contro, working over Nakamura’s shoulder. Nakamura makes a comeback, hitting the back heel kick. Nakamura with straight right hands, some kicks, then the running knees in the corner and one from the apron. Roode blocks the Reverse Powerslam and hits a Discus Clothesline.

One-legged kick by Nakamura, but then Roode avoids the Kinshasa and goes after Nakamura’s previously injured knee. Roode locks in the Figure Four, but Nakamura is able to counter. Roode gets to the ropes and goes back to the knee. Roode yells at Nakamura to quit, but Nakamura counters another Figure Four attempt and locks in a cross armbreaker. Roode tries to get free, but Nakamura takes him back down. Roode is then able to get to the ropes. Nakamura goes right after the arm, kicking and stomping Roode in the corner. Roode avoids another running knee and Nakamura’s injured knee hits the turnbuckles. Roode goes back after the knee while favoring his arm. Nakamura kicks at Roode, then goes back to the arm with kicks. Roode avoids another and hits a backstabber for a close nearfall. They stare each other down and trade shots until Nakamura hits the Superman Forearm. Roode goes right back to the knee, but Nakamura counters the Glorious DDT with a knee strike, a standing gourdbuster and a sliding Kinshasa for a close nearfall. Nakamura goes for Kinshasa, but Roode goes outside. Nakamura gets him back in, but as Nakamura gets back in, Roode kicks the rope into Nakamura’s crotch, then hits the Glorious DDT, but Nakamura kicks out! Roode can’t believe it!

Roode goes outside and grabs the ring bell from ringside. Roode dares the ref to DQ him, but Nakamura nails him with a head kick, then the Reverse Powerslam. Nakamura goes for Kinshasa, but Roode hits the Double-R Spinebuster for another close nearfall. “This is Awesome” chants by Orlando. Nakamura stops another Glorious DDT, but Roode takes out the injured knee with a front chopblock. Roode then hits a Glorious DDT from out of the corner to retain the title.
