WWE has added a video clip showing Enzo Amore undergoing medical treatment backstage and being taken away in an ambulance at the Allstate Arena in Chicago on Sunday night at Payback following the opening match of the night.
It was revealed that Amore suffered a concussion after he bounced his head off the second rope and hit the third rope on the way down. The match, which featured Amore and Colin Cassady vs. The Vaudevillains to determine new No. 1 Contenders for the WWE World Tag Team Championships, was immediately stopped after the injury.
Michael Cole continued to provide updates throughout the evening noting that Amore was undergoing testing and was able to communicate with medical staff along with “moving extremities.” The clip features a visibly shaken Colin Cassady just outside the ambulance as Amore was taken away to a local hospital to undergo treatment.
