Recap by: Jason Namako of Wrestleview.com
We see the usual intro, then commentary welcomes us to the show. We go to the opening match.
Bayley def. Charlotte by pinfall with a Super Belly-to-Bayley.
We see video of a sit-down interview with Kevin Owens conducted by Michael Cole from earlier this week inside a WWE ring before a Smackdown tapings. They discuss Owens’ rematch with NXT Champion Finn Balor at TakeOver: Brooklyn, Owens sucker-punching NXT GM William Regal, Regal openly saying he hopes Owens gets beat at TakeOver. Owens says he needs the NXT Title so he can make more money, rips on Regal and implies that he wants the rematch with Balor to be a Ladder Match so that no referee or Regal can screw him out of the NXT Title. Cole asks if Owens can beat the Demon in Balor and Owens takes off his mic and walks off in disgust.
We see another vignette on Bull Dempsey getting “BULLFIT.” This time, he’s taking it much more seriously at the weight room inside the Performance Center. Bull starts to lift at the bench press and we get a “To Be Continued” caption.
Baron Corbin def. Steve Cutler by pinfall with End of Days.
We go to NXT GM’s William Regal’s office where Bayley walks in. Regal congratulates Bayley on her victory and Bayley asks for a NXT Women’s Title shot. Regal says she does deserve it, but someone else does too. So next week, Bayley will face Becky Lynch in a #1 Contenders Match and the winner will face Sasha Banks at TakeOver: Brooklyn. Bayley goes to hug Regal, but instead shakes his hand and walks off.
Tyler Breeze def. Aaron Solow by pinfall with the Beauty Shot. Afterwards, NXT GM William Regal comes out to the rampway and announces that Breeze will face international legend Jushin “Thunder” Liger at TakeOver: Brooklyn.
We see a video package on Liger’s career.
We see a vignette on the former Uhaa Nation, now known as Apollo Crews, showcasing his training at the Performance Center. Crews debuts at TakeOver: Brooklyn.
We go to a sit-down interview with NXT Champion Finn Balor conducted by Byron Saxton from earlier this week. Balor talks about winning the NXT Title, NXT as a whole, Kevin Owens attacking William Regal and injuring Hideo Itami and Sami Zayn, and his rematch with Kevin Owens at TakeOver: Brooklyn.
The Hype Bros. def. The Mechanics by pinfall when Zack Ryder pinned Dash Wilder with the Assisted Rough Ryder. Mechanics attack the Hype Bros. from behind afterwards and lay out Ryder with the Shatter Machine.
We go backstage to NXT GM William Regal’s office where he is with the Vaudevillains. Vaudevillains talk about Alexa Bliss costing them the NXT Tag Team Titles last week. Regal grants the Vaudevillains a NXT Tag Title rematch against Blake & Murphy at TakeOver: Brooklyn, then recommends that the Vaudevillains find something to contain Alexa Bliss.
We go back to Bull Dempsey continuing to get “BULLFIT”, showing that he is having much more success inside the Performance Center Weight Room.
Main Event: Samoa Joe def. Rhyno by pinfall with the Muscle Buster.
Joe celebrates his win afterward as the show closes.
