A video package opens the show hyping John Cena vs. Ryback for the WWE Championship and Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar inside a Steel Cage tonight.
Chris Jericho is out first to open the show.
Chris Jericho vs. Fandango
Quick lock up and Chris Jericho pushes Fandango to the corner. The referee breaks it up. Another lock up and Jericho again pushes Fandango to the corner. Fandango pushes Jericho away and catches him with a quick shoulder off the ropes. Jericho responds with a dropkick, elbow and Fandango bails. Jericho chases Fandango back in the ring and catches him with another elbow. Quick baseball slide by Jericho. Jericho with a top turnbuckle sledgehammer to Fandango on the outside. Jericho jumps up on the Spanish announce table and starts dancing for the live audience. Fandango catches Jericho with a knee to the head when Jericho starts rolling him back in. Jericho responds with some boots. Fandango catches Jericho with a boot in the corner. Jericho attempts a rollup and Fandango stays on his feet. Fandango connects with a springboard leg drop. Fandango applies a headlock and Jericho connects with a back suplex to break it up. Jericho with repeated shoulder tackles, is tossed to the ring apron, jumps up and connects with a sledgehammer.
Jericho with a quick running bulldog that connects with force on Fandango. Jericho takes Fandango off his feet and starts rolling him over for the Walls of Jericho. Fandango kicks Jericho to the corner. Jericho gets his knees up when Fandango charges in. Jericho goes up top, connects with a cross body, Fandango rolls through and gets a close two count. Fandango with a quick big boot and a two count on Jericho. Fandango with big right hands to Jericho and then a boot to the face when Jericho sits up. Fandango goes up top for his big leg drop. Jericho moves out of the way. Jericho connects with his Lionsault, covers and gets another close two count on Fandango. Jericho with chops. Jericho gets Fandango down and this time gets the Walls of Jericho locked on. Fandango is reaching for the ropes. Fandango pulls his body and gets to the bottom rope. The referee pulls Jericho off Fandango to break it up. Fandango catches Jericho with a kick to the head. Fandango jumps, Jericho is up and catches Fandango with a Codebreaker. Jericho gets the pinfall.
Winner: Chris Jericho
Backstage, Josh Mathews is with Sheamus. Sheamus said Mark Henry dragging trucks on Smackdown was impressive, but trucks don’t hit back and he does.
Video from RAW last Monday with The Shield attacking John Cena followed by Ryback.
WWE United States Championship
Kofi Kingston (c) vs. Dean Ambrose
The Shield walked out with Dean Ambrose and then went back up the steps to leave Ambrose alone. Series of counters early on with Ambrose avoiding Trouble in Paradise. Kingston with a quick monkey flip sending Ambrose to the corner. Kingston with big right hands to Ambrose. Ambrose with a quick clothesline and elbow drop combo. Ambrose with a big dropkick to Kingston. Kingston with body shots. Ambrose with a chicken wing submission applied on Kingston. Ambrose drops down and wraps his legs around the body of Kingston. Kingston fights out and gets to his feet. Kingston with clotheslines and a quick dropkick to the jaw of Ambrose. Kingston connects with the Boom Drop. Ambrose avoids Trouble in Paradise again. Kingston is able to connect with his S.O.S. planting Ambrose on the ring. Kingston is going up top. Ambrose cuts him off. Kingston pushes Ambrose off the corner. Ambrose jumps back in with a quick elbow. Ambrose hooks the arms of Kingston and pulls him back connecting with a Tiger Driver from the top turnbuckle. Kingston kicks out.
Kingston with a big springboard cross body that results in another two count. Ambrose rolls to the ring apron. Kingston catches Ambrose with the Trouble in Paradise on the ring apron. Ambrose falls to the floor on the outside. Kingston jumps out and rolls Ambrose back in. Kingston gets a two count. JBL is yelling at Kingston saying he should have left Ambrose on the outside to take the count out victory. Kingston misses another attempt at the Trouble in Paradise. Ambrose plants Kingston with his headlock driver to the mat. Ambrose covers Kington and gets the pinfall.
Winner and new WWE United States Champion: Dean Ambrose
After the match, Shield members Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns hit the ring to celebrate with Dean Ambrose. We see highlights of the match leading to the finish. Back live, Ambrose is on the shoulders of Reigns and Rollins with the WWE United States Championship belt.
We see highlights of the feud between Sheamus and Mark Henry.
Strap Match
Mark Henry vs. Sheamus
The referee attaches the strap to the wrists of both Mark Henry and Sheamus. The bell rings and Mark Henry steps on the strap. Sheamus pulls up on the strap and Henry falls to his back. Sheamus with a kick to the gut of Henry and then chop blocks Henry off his feet. Sheamus slaps one corner. Henry then pulls Sheamus and drops him with a clothesline. The referee waves off Sheamus’ progress. Henry hog ties the legs of Sheamus, taps one corner, taps a second, Sheamus holds on to the bottom rope, gets to his feet and Henry clotheslines him over the top rope. Sheamus is back up and drops Henry’s jaw off the top rope. Sheamus taps one corner, runs to the second, taps that, walks to the third, taps that, Sheamus is pulling Henry around the ring and Henry with a big right hand that drops Sheamus off the ring apron. Henry pulls Sheamus up to the ring apron, wraps the strap around his neck and flips him back in over the top rope. Henry grabs the strap and starts hitting it over the back of Sheamus. Henry then tosses Sheamus up on his shoulder.
Henry taps one corner with Sheamus on his corner. Sheamus does as well and Henry doesn’t notice. Henry tapes two more corners and then realizes Sheamus was also tapping them as well. Henry drops Sheamus down to the mat and the referee waves off the progress both made. Sheamus low blows Henry using the strap and follows with a running clothesline. Sheamus returns the favor hitting Henry over the back with the strap. Sheamus slaps one corner, slaps a second and then Henry breaks it up. They both start brawling at ringside with Sheamus pulling Henry into the steel ring post using the strap. Back in the ring, Sheamus slaps one corner, slaps a second corner, slaps a third corner and Henry is ready to cut him off. Sheamus charges in, Henry lifts him up, Sheamus is reaching for the corner, Henry again picks up Sheamus, drops his over his knee, lifts him over his head, Sheamus lands on his feet and connects with a huge Brogue Kick to Henry. Sheamus then turns around and slaps the fourth corner to get the win.
Winner: Sheamus
Backstage, AJ Lee is talking to Dolph Ziggler on her cell when Kaitlyn walks up. She mentioned talking with Vickie and how AJ informed her she can’t compete in a title match because of what happened to Ziggler. AJ and Kaitlyn trade insults. Kaitlyn attacks AJ until other WWE Divas show up to break it up.
We see video from Smackdown two weeks ago of Dolph Ziggler suffering a concussion.
#1 Contendership – “I Quit” Match
Alberto Del Rio w/ Ricardo Rodriguez vs. Jack Swagger w/ Zeb Colter
Long promo from Zeb Colter before the match. Colter talked about recent news headlines with the IRS targeting specific conservative groups and then the government wire tapping the “lamstream media.” He also insulted the St. Louis Cardinals saying they should be called the Caribbean Cardinals with a lack of American born players on the roster.
The bell rings and a quick lock up early on. Tons of brawling soon after to the outside. Both Swagger and Del Rio signal the referee to ask if they quit. Del Rio with repeated shots to the steel ring steps on Swagger and Swagger again refuses to quit. Swagger grabs a kendo stick and cracks it over the body of Del Rio. Swagger pulls the back of Del Rio against the steel ring post. Del Rio refuses to quit. Swagger hits Del Rio over the knee and ankle using the kendo stick. Del Rio blocks another shot from the kendo stick, but Swagger drops him with a quick clothesline. Swagger locks up the arms of Del Rio in the top and middle ropes. Swagger grabs a kendo stick and signals for the referee to ask Del Rio. Del Rio refuses. Swagger with repeated shots to the chest of Del Rio using the kendo stick. Del Rio still refuses to quit and breaks free. Del Rio gets the armbar locked in on Swagger over the ropes. Swagger refuses to quit and Swagger breaks it up grabbing the mic and hitting Del Rio over the head with it. Swagger screams out, “Welcome to Jack Swagger’s America!”
Swagger leaves the ring and grabs a steel chair. Del Rio catches Swagger with a kick to the head forcing Swagger to drop the steel chair. Swagger misses a big boot and takes repeated clotheslines from Del Rio. Del Rio with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker on Swagger. Del Rio with a huge superkick to Swagger. The referee asks Swagger if he wants to quit and Swagger says no. Del Rio wraps Swagger over the top rope so he is sitting on the middle rope. Del Rio grabs the kendo stick, cracks it over the back of Swagger repeatedly, puts the kendo stick over the chest of Del Rio, the referee asks Swagger if he wants to quit, Swagger says no and Del Rio pulls back connecting with a backcracker breaking the kendo stick in half over the chest of Swagger. Swagger responds with a big powerslam on Del Rio. Swagger connects with a Swagger Bomb from the corner. Swagger with a gutwrench powerbomb. Swagger connects with a second gutwrench. Del Rio refuses. Del Rio gets another armbar locked in. Swagger counters into an ankle lock. Del Rio refuses to quit.
Swagger drops to his back to apply more pressure on the ankle lock. Ricardo has a towel in hand and Del Rio yells at him to not throw in the towel. Colter then tries to attack Ricardo. Ricardo moves dropping the towel. Colter grabs the towel and throws it in the ring. The referee sees the towel and calls for the bell. Swagger’s music plays when Ricardo jumps in saying he didn’t throw in the towel. Another referee jumps in arguing the finish. The referee then goes to ringside and watches a replay of the finish. He tells Lilian Garcia the match can be restarted if Del Rio is able to continue. Del Rio tells the referee he can continue. Swagger rushes in working on the injured ankle of Del Rio. Del Rio with repeated kicks to the head of Swagger. Del Rio with a kick to the head of Swagger that also connects on the arm. Del Rio gets the armbar locked on. Swagger almost quits when asked. Swagger turns Del Rio over. Del Rio gets Swagger back down in the armbar. The referee asks Swagger. Swagger quits.

Backstage, Ryback says he won’t waste his opportunity at the WWE Championship tonight. He talked about people trying to stop him in the past and that tonight, Ryback rules.
WWE Tag Team Championships – Texas Tornado Rules
Team Hell No (c’s) vs. The Shield (Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns)
No tags in this one as all four men are legal. Daniel Bryan gets a surfboard submission applied on Seth Rollins early on, while Kane works over Roman Reigns in the corner. Kane with a boot to the face of Rollins. Reigns with a big elbow to Bryan and shots to Kane. Reigns with a big clothesline on Bryan. Kane attempts a double chokeslam on Reigns and Rollins. Instead, Kane pushes both back over the top rope. Bryan the connects with a suicide dive taking out both members of The Shield. Bryan with kicks to Rollins and kane with rights to Reigns in respective corners. Bryan and Kane switch off. They switch off a second time. Kane with a side slam on Reigns assisted by Bryan with a flying elbow. Bryan with a scoop slam on Rollins. Kane drops Rollins, Bryan goes up top and connects with his flying headbutt. Kane covers Rollins and Reigns breaks it up. Bryan goes for the No Lock on Reigns. Kane is cutting off Rollins from getting back in. Rollins drops Kane’s jaw off the top rope and then Rollins springboards in to break it up. Kane with a chokeslam on Rollins.
Reigns with a spear on Kane. All four men are down. Reigns works over Bryan yelling, “You try to break my arm? I’m going to break your face!” Reigns ends up sending Kane into Bryan in the corner. Kane has Reigns ready for a chokeslam. Rollins comes off the top rope with a flying knee to Kane. Reigns with another spear to Kane. Bryan breaks up the pinfall attempt. Bryan with kicks to the chest of Reigns. Reigns avoids a kick to the head and Bryan attempts a No Lock. Reigns catapults Bryan into the knees of Rollins from the ring apron. Reigns has Bryan on his shoulders. Rollins jumps off the top turnbuckle stomping the face of Bryan off the shoulders of Reigns. Reigns hooks the leg of Bryan. Rollins kicks Kane out of the ring. Reigns gets the pinfall.

Newly crowned WWE United States Champion Dean Ambrose hits the ring to celebrate with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. Michael Cole puts over how all members of The Shield now hold titles. We see highlights of the match leading to the finish. Back live, The Shield continues to celebrate with all of their new titles tonight.

Randy Orton vs. Big Show
Randy Orton goes after Big Show right away with right hands and boots to the body. Orton with a quick splash in the corner to Big Show. Big Show responds with a shoulder tackle. Big Show with a headbutt that sends Orton to the outside. Orton grabs a kendo stick and starts cracking it over the body of Big Show. Big Show with a right hand to the chest of Orton and then breaks the kendo stick over his knee. Big Show with another headbutt to Orton. Orton grabs a second kendo stick and starts hitting Big Show with it. Big Show with a body shot and then breaks that kendo stick as well. Big Show with a big chest chop on Orton over the announce table at ringside. Big Show with a second chest chop. Orton sends Big Show face first into the steel ring post when Big Show had him on his shoulder. Orton grabs a ladder and Big Show kicks it back into the face of Orton. Back in the ring, Big Show sends Orton shoulder first into the corner. Orton attempts a comeback, but Big Show lands a big right hand body shot as Orton falls back into the corner.
Orton responds with a big dropkick that takes Big Show off his feet. Orton with a splash to Big Show in the corner. Orton backs up, does this a second time, Big Show grabs Orton and then plants him back on the ring. Big Show leaves the ring and tosses a ladder and steel chair inside. Big Show with a side slam to Orton, hooks the leg and Orton kicks out. Big Show sets up two chairs, puts a ladder over both, puts Orton over the ladder, Big Show goes to the second rope corner, jumps back, Orton moves and Big Show crashes over the ladder. Orton covers Big Show and Big Show powers out after two. Big Show slides to the ring apron and then tries getting in over the top rope. Orton cuts him off and pulls him down with his big spike DDT. Huge reaction for Orton in his hometown crowd tonight in St. Louis. Orton jumps and connects with an RKO. Orton hooks the leg of Big Show and Big Show kicks out! Orton can’t believe it as Big Show slides out and gets to his feet leaning up against the ring barricade. Orton grabs a steel chair from under the ring and walks to Big Show.
Orton cracks the steel chair over the back of Big Show. Orton does this a second and third time. Orton is back in the ring as Big Show is crawling to the ropes. Orton with a shot to the gut of Big Show using the steel chair. Big Show with a spear out of no where on Orton. Orton with a boot and RKO on Big Show over the steel chair he was using earlier. Big Show is crawling to the corner on his stomach. The crowd is calling for a punt. Orton smiles over Big Show and then backs up in the corner. Orton charges in and connects with the punt to the head of Big Show. Orton hooks the legs of Big Show and gets the pinfall.

WWE Championship – Last Man Standing Match
John Cena (c) vs. Ryback
Justin Roberts gave introductions for the challenger Ryback and champion John Cena.
The bell rings and here we go. Ryback takes Cena off his feet early on with a big shoulder tackle. Ryback takes Cena off his feet once more. Loud “GOLDBERG” chants from the St. Louis crowd. Cena with a shoulder tackle of his own to take Ryback off his feet. Cena with a running bulldog and Ryback powers back to his feet taking out Cena with a quick clothesline. Ryback with shoulder thrusts in the corner on Cena. Cena with a boot in the corner to Ryback. Cena jumps from the second rope, Ryback catches Cena and plants him with a modified scoop slam over the mat. The referee begins the count for Cena. Cena gets to his feet at 6. Ryback lifts up Cena over his shoulders in a military press and then drops him down behind him. The referee begins the count again for Cena. Ryback breaks up the count, grabs Cena, lifts him up off the mat and back down with a big powerbomb. The referee starts the count. Cena is up at 8. Ryback charges and Cena pulls down the bottom rope. Ryback lands with a thud on the outside. The referee starts the count.
Cena grabs a table from under the ring and brings it back in. Ryback is up at 6 at ringside. Ryback gets Cena up over his back and drops Cena down over the mat. Ryback grabs the table and sets it up in the corner. Cena with body shots and right hands to Ryback. Cena with a flying shoulder tackle, goes for a second, Ryback catches him and gives Cena a fallaway slam sending him through the table in the corner! The referee starts the count. Cena is up at 8 in the other corner. Ryback charges, Cena avoids and plants Ryback with his twisting powerbomb. Cena connects with the Five Knuckle Shuffle on Ryback. Cena has Ryback up. Ryback counters, Cena hits the ropes and Ryback connects with a shoulder to the gut. Michael Cole was quick to point out it wasn’t a spear. Cena with a counter and then plants Ryback with a big powerbomb. The referee starts the count. Ryback is barely up at 8 and then falls back down. The referee starts the count again. Ryback is up at 6. Cena jumps on Ryback, locks his legs and pulls guard.
Ryback lifts Cena back up and slams him back down hard on the mat. Ryback with a big clothesline that keeps Cena down. The referee starts the count. Cena barely gets up at 8. Cena with a drop toe hold on Ryback and gets the STF locked in. Cena breaks the hold and Ryback is out. The referee starts the count. Cena leaves the ring and brings another table inside. Ryback drops Cena down on the mat. Ryback gets Cena up, Cena counters off and connects with the AA on Ryback through the table in the ring! The referee starts the count. Ryback is up at 7, nearly 8. Cena is on the top turnbuckle. Ryback grabs Cena, gets him on his shoulders and connects with Shell Shocked. Cena barely gets to his feet at 9. Ryback with a big elbow to the back of Cena that immediately drops Cena. Ryback grabs a steel chair at ringside, Cena kicks the chair back at Ryback and Cena tackles Ryback through the barricade by the timekeepers area! The referee starts the count. Ryback is up at 7 and so is Cena. Ryback with a shot to Cena as they brawl into the crowd.
Ryback grabs a part of the arena wall and launches it at Cena. Cena jumps on the back of Ryback applying a sleeper hold. Ryback is walking around on the arena floor with Cena on his back. Ryback falls to the ground and he appears to be out. The referee starts the count. Ryback fights to his feet before the 10 count. Cena puts Ryback over a table nearby. Cena gets up on the barricade near a section in the arena. Cena splashes Ryback crashing through the table. Both men are back up before the 10 count. Ryback is dazed. Cena uses a fire extinguisher on Ryback a few times blinding Ryback. Ryback is trying to get away from Cena climbing up to the entrance stage. Cena hits Ryback with the fire extinguisher. Ryback stays on his feet. Cena does this a second time and Ryback is down. Ryback is back on his feet at 8. Cena has Ryback on his shoulders. Ryback counters, lifts up Cena and drives him through the HD screens that was part of the set! Sparks went flying as they went through the light grid. We see replays as the referee heads to the back.
Backstage, both men are out. WWE referees and officials are checking on both men. They are calling for medics to come check on both men. Ryback is taken away on his feet, while we see a shot of Cena getting a neck brace put on and then put on a stretcher. The commentators discuss how hurt Cena appears to be.
Winner: No Contest

Steel Cage Match
Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar w/ Paul Heyman
During Brock Lesnar’s entrance, Triple H ran out and sent Lesnar face first into the cage. Triple H then took out Paul Heyman with a big right hand. Triple H tosses Lesnar in the ring. The referee closes the cage door and the match officially begins. Triple H with big right hands to Lesnar. Triple H sends Lesnar face first off the side of the cage and Lesnar falls back. Triple H with another shot on Lesnar to the cage and then follows it up with a big spinebuster. Lesnar counters an early Pedigree attempt sending Triple H over his head against the side of the cage wall. JBL mentions that UFC Hall of Famer Matt Hughes is in attendance tonight. Lesnar with a big knee to Triple H and then sends him back first into the cage wall a few times. Lesnar launches Triple H into the other cage wall with Triple H bouncing off with force. Lesnar does this a second time to the other cage wall. Lesnar lifts up Triple H, Triple H counters and Lesnar bounces off the steel cage wall. Triple H catches Lensar with a big high knee. Lesnar responds with a german suplex with a release.
We see a shot of Lesnar smiling, picking up Triple H and driving him into the side of the cage wall. Lesnar drives Triple H back first into the side of the cage repeatedly. Lesnar hits the ropes, charges in with a high knee and Triple H moves out of the way. Lesnar falls back clutching his knee. Lesnar gets on his feet limping when he sees Triple H up on the top turnbuckle. Lesnar grabs Triple H, puts him on his shoulder and drives Triple H down with a big powerslam. When Lesnar connects dropping Triple H, he falls to his back favoring his knee and talks with Heyman about it who tells Lesnar to shake it off. Triple H with right hands and kicks to the bad knee of Lesnar. Triple H with a knee to the face on Lesnar. Lesnar counters another Pedigree attempt and Lesnar gets the Kimura Lock applied. Triple H breaks it up and Lesnar responds with a clothesline. Heyman calls for the cage door to be opened. Lesnar walks toward it and Triple H with a chop block to take Lesnar down. Lesnar screams in pain. Heyman then slams then cage door into the face of Triple H.
Lesnar with an F5 on Triple H. Lesnar hooks the leg and Triple H kicks out after two. Heyman grabs a steel chair, knocks down the referee near the door and then closes the cage door. Lesnar, still limping and cracks the steel chair over Triple H. Lesnar says, “Paul, my knee is bad man.” Lesnar is going for another F5 and his knee buckles. Triple H with another chop block to Lesnar. Triple H grabs the steel chair and strarts cracking it across the bad leg and knee of Lesnar. Lesnar screams out in pain. Triple H with an elbow drop over the bad knee of Lesnar. Triple H with a second elbow drop to the bad knee. Triple H corners Lesnar when Lesnar gets the Kimura Lock applied. Triple H breaks it up and drops his body over the bad knee of Lesnar. Lesnar is screaming out in pain. Triple H gets the Figure Four applied. Lesnar is screaming. Lesnar tries hitting Triple H to break it up. Heyman is yelling at Lesnar not to tap. Lesnar gets Triple H turned over to break it up. Lesnar looks back and starts climbing up the cage pulling himself up on the top turnbuckle near Heyman.
Lesnar gets one leg over when Triple H runs up and cracks a steel chair over his bad knee. Triple H pulls Lesnar off the top of the cage and back in the ring. Triple H is still up on the top turnbuckle, smiles and pulls a hidden sledgehammer out from the top of the cage. Lesnar crotches Triple H to knock him off the turnbuckle. Lesnar grabs the sledgehammer that was painted silver to blend with the cage. Lesnar charges in with the sledgehammer in hand, Triple H drops Lesnar and locks on a Sharpshooter. Lesnar is screaming out in pain. Heyman then opens up the cage door and gets inside. Triple H breaks the Sharpshooter and gives Pedigree to Heyman. Lesnar tries using the sledgehammer, but he avoids it and hits a Pedigree on Lesnar. Triple H covers Lesnar and Lesnar kicks out after two! Triple H grabs the sledgehammer. Heyman with a low blow to Triple H. Lesnar pulls himself to his feet using the ropes. Lesnar is still limping as he smiles at Triple H. Lesnar has the sledgehammer and hits Triple H in the head with it. Lesnar opens his arms smiling at the crowd.
Lesnar lets out a loud scream standing over Triple H. Lesnar picks Triple H up by his arm, puts him on his shoulders and connects with a big F5. Lesnar gets the pinfall on Triple H.
Winner: Brock Lesnar
After the match, Brock Lesnar grabs the sledgehammer and places it over the chest of Triple H. Lesnar limps out of the ring on the steel ring steps. We then see highlights from the match leading to the finish. Back live, we see a shot of WWE officials attending to Triple H inside the Steel Cage as Brock Lesnar looks back smiling. Lesnar heads up the ramp limping to the back. Paul Heyman is waiting for Lesnar at the top holding up his arm.
They go to Renee Young to plug the Extreme Rules post-show tonight.
Back in the ring, Triple H is just starting to recover as the Steel Cage is raised back up. He is helped out of the ring by WWE officials and is heading to the back as the PPV goes off the air.
