According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the fan that was struck by WWE Champion CM Punk last week in Sacramento, California, Charles Schmidt, had filed a police report, but had declined to press charges.
It was said that Schmidt had no visible bruising, although he claimed to have knee pain later on. Schmidt is still thinking about getting a lawyer to eventually file a lawsuit against WWE.
The security for the arena in Sacramento did complain to WWE about the incident because had WWE told them that a wrestler was going to go into the crowd, “none of this would have happened.”
