NBCConnecticut.com is reporting Senator John McCain was in Connecticut this past Monday campaigning for Linda McMahon.
“McCain previously endorsed McMahon’s rival in the GOP primary, former U.S. Rep. Christopher Shays. Abrajano called McMahon an ”independent-minded Republican” like McCain and said they ”see things similarly in terms of bucking their party when they need to.” McCain has been embraced in Connecticut, winning the state’s 2000 and 2008 presidential primaries. McMahon is in a close race with Democratic Rep. Chris Murphy to fill the seat being vacated by Sen. Joe Lieberman.”
