In a new post on social media, WWE ID has confirmed new details regarding the Championship Tournament kicking off during WrestleMania 41 week in Las Vegas, as well as title matches to take place after the inaugural champions are crowned.
The announcement confirms that the GCW event on 4/16 and FSW show on 4/18 will feature opening round matches, with all current WWE ID prospects set to participate.
Title matches following the tournament will be defended at “various independent wrestling events,” offering the additional prize of a WWE ID contract should a non-WWE ID prospect win the championship.
