Hulk Hogan says John Cena’s heel turn is one of the best he’s seen in a long time

In speaking with Justin Barrasso at Undisputed, Hulk Hogan commented on John Cena’s heel turn that took place at last Saturday’s WWE Elimination Chamber.

Hogan himself is no stranger to heel turns. After being one of the biggest babyfaces in industry during the 1980’s and 1990’s, the WWE Hall of Famer turned on the fans at WCW Bash at the Beach 1996, siding with Scott Hall and Kevin Nash to form the NWO.

“Well, we definitely can see Cena now, can’t we?…We know who he is now. He’s not signing autographs or doing what he’s been doing. That’s bigger than a wrestling angle.”

Hogan went on to say that even though Cena is planning on retiring at the end of 2025, Cena’s heel turn is a huge moment in pro wrestling,

“It’s one of the best heel turns I’ve seen in a long, long time…all the major players were involved. I can’t say enough about The Rock, too–he was incredible. They did it right, I’ll tell you that.”

Hogan said that with the current chemistry between Cena and Rhodes, WWE could be on the verge of what would be huge angle that will go down as being highly memorable.

“It’s going to work as long as John wants to stay plugged in…I don’t know his schedule or how many days he’ll work, but he definitely has everyone’s attention. Plus, The Rock is involved, too. This could heat up more than anyone is expecting. It could be so hot that it’s crazy, which will lead to a WrestleMania match you’ll never forget.”

Also in the interview, Hogan talked about his Real American Beer product.
