WWE SmackDown tops 1.5 million viewers for first 3-hour episode

This week’s WWE SmackDown drew 1.528 million viewers on the USA Network, according to a report from Wrestlenomics.

The show, the first 3-hour episode of SmackDown and featuring two title matches (along with a Money in the Bank cash-in) and a six-man tag with Sami Zayn teaming with The Usos to face Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline, scored a 0.45 rating in the key demo, marking an increase in both figures from last week’s 2-hour episode which drew a viewership of 1.436 million and scored a rating of 0.45 in the key demo.

WWE SmackDown ranked #2 on cable in primetime for the key demo, against ESPN coverage of the Mayo Bowl game between Minnesota and Virginia Tech which ranked #1 with a 0.65 rating and drew 3.384 million viewers.
