WWE’s Omos is now one-half of the Pro Wrestling NOAH GHC Tag Team Champions. Omos teamed with Jack Morris at NOAH’s The New Year event to capture the titles from Naomichi Marufuji and Takashi Sugiura. This is the first time in history that a WWE contracted talent is a champion with Pro Wrestling NOAH.
The finish saw Omos get the pin on Marufuji after he dropped him with a big double-handed chokeslam. This was Omos’ first match since April of 2024, as he was kept off WWE TV for a good portion of 2024. After the match, Omos and Morris cut a promo backstage, in which Omos said that he is the “super megaweight of this world.”
Current WWE United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura competed at the event, in which he defeated former UFC fighter Ulka Sasaki.
