WWE has filed to trademark ‘Edge’ through attorney Lauren A. Diene-Middlen for wrestling purposes, according to documents available on the website for the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
The trademark, filed for purposes such as “wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler” and “providing information in the fields of sports via an online community portal” among others, was previously used by Adam Copeland during his run with the company from 1998 until 2023.
Copeland debuted in AEW in October of that year, after his contract with WWE came to an end, revealing use of the nickname “Rated R Superstar” which was filed for a trademark by the Hall of Famer around that time.
The former TNT Champion vacated the belt following an injury sustained during his match against Malakai Black at Double Or Nothing in May.
