According to PWInsider, the internal word going around is that Rhea Ripley’s orbital bone injury may not be as serious as WWWE initially feared.
The report also notes that the former WWE Women’s World Champion remains penciled in for a “big role” at WrestleMania 41. It was further said that if Ripley is able to return sooner rather than later, it will be kept as quiet as possible so she can make a huge splash when she comes back. WWE will try to keep it under wraps so she can make a big splash upon her return.
PWInsider is also reporting that as of now, the current plan for SmackDown to expand to a three-hour program, as some discussions have taken place to call up NXT talent to fill six- hours of weekly television between both brands.
WWE set out an email on Friday noting that additional tickets have been released for next month’s Saturday’s Night Main Event special, which takes place at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, Long Island, New York.
The email also states that WWE is going to bring back the old school look at feel to the Nassau Coliseum, along with the presentation.
The Nassau Coliseum was the home to the very-first Saturday Night’s Main Event that debuted on May 11, 1985.
WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event returns on December 14 and will live coast to coast on NBC and Peacock, beginning at 8:00 pm ET.
