WWE SmackDown sees rise in viewers, key demo against World Series and NBA coverage

This week’s WWE SmackDown drew 1.418 million viewers on the USA Network, according to a report from Wrestlenomics.

This is up from last week’s viewership of 1.378 million.

The show, featuring the Motor City Machine Guns challenging the Bloodline for the WWE Tag Team Championship, scored a 0.43 rating in the key demo, up from last week’s rating of 0.42 and ranking #2 for the day on cable against ESPN coverage of the Pacers-Knicks NBA game, which scored a 0.54 rating in the key demo.

News of SmackDown’s viewership comes after Fox Sports PR announced over the weekend that based on early fast nationals data, Game 1 of the MLB World Series averaged a total of 15.2 million viewers across Fox, Fox Deportes, Univision, and Fox Sports streaming.
