Joe Hendry says WWE-TNA partnership is ‘business done right’

In an interview with USA Today, Joe Hendry commented on the success of the recent partnership between WWE and TNA.

This partnership between TNA wrestling and WWE has been the perfect example of business done right. Business done right is where every single party wins.

The former TNA Digital Media Champion had made a number of appearances on NXT programming, most recently looking to challenge Ethan Page for the NXT Championship.

The partnership, while largely focused on NXT talent heading to TNA programming and vice versa, was seemingly kicked off with a surprise appearance by TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace at the Royal Rumble in January.

Grace would later appear on NXT to challenge Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship, leading to appearances from The Rascalz and Ash By Elegance (formerly WWE’s Dana Brooke) on NXT, and Wes Lee, Tatum Paxley, and Gallus on recent editions of TNA IMPACT.

Speaking on what makes this partnership beneficial for both sides, Hendry stated:

TNA wins because we’re selling out regularly now, our crowds are getting so big. We’re gaining so much from the increased exposure. WWE, a lot of their NXT talents are getting the opportunity to perform for a different audience. Wrestlers win and the fans win because it’s an exciting product.
