Arda Ocal (@arda_ocal) of The Score Television Network spoke with WWE Hall Of Famer, Rowdy Roddy Piper (@R_Roddy_Piper). Part 1 Highlights:
On his Piper’s Pit segment at Wrestlemania V with Morton Downey Jr, tells a story about using the fire exstingusher on him during the closing part of that segment:
” He (Morton Downey Jr) got sprayed with the fire extinguisher. They had two fire extinguishers before, they were suppose to bring one out, and emptied half of it, and I switched them. So I had the full one. I sprayed him with it, and he couldn’t breathe. He crawled and got my shoulder against my ankle. So I had the fire extinguisher and I lifted it up and was gonna bring it down on him, and I could hear Gorilla Monsoon yell “No Roddy!!” (laughs)
Competing at Wrestlemania 6 against Bad News Brown, gives the back story on his apperance where he was painted half black in that match, and how he had a tough time getting the black paint off his body after the match:
“I had this match, I came back. The stuff they had painted me with Vince McMahon had made special. When I broke a sweat it wouldn’t come off. There was a special clear solution to take this special black off. When the lady started rubbing my cheek it started bleeding. Andre the Giant and Arnold Skaaland dumped the solution to rub the stuff off. So, I went out in Toronto that night painted half black. The way I got it off, I had to sit in the sauna when I got home, took me about a month of rubbing it all off.
Talking about AJ and Daniel Bryan and Piper’s Pit and thoughts on the segment, as well shaking hands with Vince McMahon backstage.
