Tony Khan declines to comment on Ricochet’s contract status

TVInsider interviewed Tony Khan prior to this week’s Dynamite, asking about the logistics involved with collaborating with other promotions for the upcoming pay-per-view Forbidden Door.

One topic the AEW president was more coy to address was that of Ricochet, whose contract status has been up in the air recently:

“If it’s okay, I’d rather not get into wrestlers that still work for someone else.”

The subject of Ricochet’s status following this Monday’s RAW was further addressed by Dave Meltzer, who reported that the “prevailing belief” is the former Intercontinental Champion is headed to AEW, though no confirmation has been given as of this writing per F4WOnline.

On the 6/10 edition of WWE RAW, Ricochet was attacked in the parking lot by Bron Breakker, who threw him against a production truck before slamming him onto the a car windshield.

Ricochet was later confirmed to be “out of action for an undisclosed amount of time” on social media, raising the question of whether he is truly on his way out of the company.
