Beyond Wrestling has announced that former WWE/NXT talent Drew Gulak will be part of the promotion’s Americana Where Eagles Dare event on July 4.
This past April, former WWE Superstar Ronda Rousey made allegations that Gulak had an an inappropriate interaction with her backstage in 2022. Rousey claimed that Gulak pulled the drawstring on her sweatpants. Gulak later made a statement that it was all accidental during an attempt to shake her hand and that he had apologized to her.
Shortly after the allegations, Gulak was written off NXT television during the April 16 episode, where The Family told the No Quarter Catch Club they “took out the trash.”
It was reported back on May 3 that Gulak was part of talent cuts made by WWE. During the Backlash press conference, WWE’s Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque was asked if Gulak had been released due to the allegations. Levesque said the company chose not to renew Gulak’s contract.
WWE Files New Trademarks
Back on May 31, WWE filed with the Unites States Trademark and Patent Office in Washington, DC to trademark “Awesome Truth” and “A-Town Down Under.”
Awesome Truth is the tag team name for the current WWE World Tag Team Champions Miz and R-Truth and A-Town Down Under is the tag team name for the current WWE Tag Team Champions Austin Theory and Grayson Waller.
