Cody Rhodes responds to The Rock’s promo after WWE SmackDown goes off the air

Cody Rhodes competed in a dark match after Friday’s WWE SmackDown went off the air from Glendale, Arizona.

After his match, Rhodes responded to The Rock’s promo. He first asked his cousin, timekeeper Berkley Ottman what The Rock said earlier in the night.

X user @luvhartxx, who was in attendance at the Diamond Desert Arena, captured Rhodes’s promo responding to The Rock, which you can view below.

“Okay, what do we do? I’ve never had this happen. Hey, quick question for you. Was Rock here earlier? What did he say? Hey, this is my cousin Berkley. Berkley, you were here the whole time. What did Rock say? What did he say? What did he say about these people? What do they do? [Berkley tells him The Rock said they do cocaine and meth.] Oh my god! There’s kids here. Oh, Berk, we can’t say that here. Boo Berkley. It has been a wonderful night. I always enjoy coming to SmackDown.”

The Rock and Roman Reigns made a challenge for a match against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40 Night One during this week’s WWE SmackDown, in what was a very lengthy promo.

There is a stipulation, however, that has been added to the tag match. If The Rock and Reigns win the match, the Rhodes vs. Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal title on WrestleMania Night Two will be a Bloodline rules match where anything goes.

Now if Rhodes and Rollins end up winning the tag team match, The Bloodline will be banned from being in the venue for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title match between Rhodes vs. Reigns.
