According to Fightful Select, WWE has in recent weeks initiated moves towards negotiations to bring former NWA Women’s Champion Kamille to the company. Kamille was backstage at this past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite and Rampage taping in Charleston, SC visiting some friends. She is from Durham, NC.
Fightful Select also notes that while backstage at the Dynamite and Rampage taping, Kamille spoke with people of influence within AEW.
She had a six-month option in her NWA deal that would have seen continue with the promotion through the first-half of 2024, however she passed up on that option.
Kamille successfully defended the NWA Women’s Championship against Natalia Markova on Night One of the NWA 75th Anniversary Show, but was defeated by Kenzie Paige on Night Two, ending her 813 day title reign.
