Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake and Zak Gibson) are now officially free agents, per a social media post from Drake.
Drake also announced on social media the tag team are now available for bookings.
This past April, The Dyad (Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid, formerly Grizzled Young Veterans) had revealed they had requested their release from WWE. However, at the time, WWE did not grant their release. They had also noted that their contracts with the company were up in October.
WWE Hall of Famer Booker T during a September edition of his Hall of Fame podcast last month, said the tag team had already left WWE. At the same time a source within WWE claimed to F4WOnline they had no information on the tag teams departure.
Back on the September 12 episode of NXT, Joe Gacy told Ava Raine the Schism tree only had two roots and had turned rotten, which was indicating the Dyad were no longer part of the tree.
OTT Wrestling also announced that the Grizzled Young Veterans will make their first post-WWE NXT appearance at OTT’s ninth year anniversary show on in Dublin on October 28.
