There were rumors making the rounds on Tuesday after a report from X (formerly known as Twitter) user BoozerRasslin/BWE, posted that former WWE NXT Superstar Velveteen Dream (real name Patrick Clark) has been in rehab and was at the Performance Center.
Clark took to his Instagram Stories to confirm the rumors are not true. He wrote the following:
I AM NOT IN A REHABILITATION FACILITY NOR HAVE I VISITED ORLANDO FLORIDA – THE WWE PERFORMANCE CENTER -OR ANY WWE EVENTS OR FACILITIES I encourage all wrestling media and platforms to highlight the women and men who put together awesome weekly television! And not waste time publishing and pushing false narratives and fake news about me! I haven’t contributed anything to your line of entertainment in YEARS! Please do better and use your platforms to showcase the bright and prominent future that is PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING.
Back in April of 2020, Clark was accused of sending indecent images to underage boys on Instagram after a Reddit user posted screenshots of what looked like a naked Clark on the SquaredCircle subreddit. Clark denied the allegations. Two months later, at the time of the Speaking Out movement, there were new allegations made against Clark that he sent a sexually explicit photo to an underage girl and also had “inappropriate communications” with underage boys he was allegedly grooming. WWE had launched an investigation, but did not find any evidence Clark did anything wrong.
Back in August 2022, Clark was arrested twice in Florida. On August 20, he was arrested on charges of first-degree battery and trespassing on property after a warning. Clark pled not guilty. He had allegedly bit and punched a gym employee after the two had an altercation. Just six days later, he was arrested again on charges of possessing drug paraphernalia.
The battery and trespassing charges were dropped the following month.
WWE released Clark from his contract back on May 21, 2021.
According to Fightful, neither WWE nor Clark have any interest in a return to the company.
Wrestleview did not publish any reports that Patrick Clark was at the WWE Performance Center.
