After defeating Nathan Frazer for the Heritage Cup trophy on the 8/22 edition of NXT, Noam Dar finds himself ready to face a new challenger…but to name that challenger, WWE has announced the NXT Global Heritage Invitational.
The tournament, announced the same night as Dar’s big win, will have its participants announced on social media in the coming days before it kicks off next week on NXT…but the rules were revealed on The Bump:
- There will be two groups with four wrestlers in each group in a round-robin style tournament.
- Matches have a 12-minute time limit.
- Pinfall and submission victories are worth two points. A draw will earn each wrestler one point.
- The winner of Group A faces the winner of Group B on September 26 and the winner of that match will challenge Noam Dar for the Heritage Cup on September 30 at NXT No Mercy.
NXT No Mercy will emanate from Mechanics Bank Arena in Bakersfield, California and stream live on Peacock in the United States and WWE Network internationally.
