WWE Hall of Famer and WWE senior vice president of talent development creative, spoke to The Sun in Lowell about his excitement of bringing NXT to the state of Massachusetts.
“I’m very excited…this is our first-ever NXT premium live event in the state of Massachusetts. Obviously, we’re thrilled about it. We don’t have the opportunity to get out of Florida a lot. So anytime we have these premium live events, the young men and women of NXT get it. They’re so psyched, and so jacked.”
Michaels also tried to remember if he ever performed at the Tsongas Center:
“I’m still trying to remember if I’ve ever wrestled at Tsongas Center…But I’ve always been a big fan of the Lowell Auditorium. You talk to any WWE superstar; they’ll tell you the Lowell Auditorium is one of the greatest places ever, because it was so small, and the fans were right on top of you. The energy and electricity in that building was always fantastic.”
The Tsongas Center in Lowell, MA will host the NXT Battleground premium live event this Sunday, May 28, which will go head-to-head with AEW’s Double or Nothing pay-per-view which takes place live from the T-Mobile Area in Las Vegas, Nevada.
