WWE has announced that Brock Lesnar will return to the May 1 episode of Raw, which will be night two of the 2023 Draft.
Lesnar last appeared in a brief segment back on the April 17 Raw, confronting Cody Rhodes. Rhodes had attempted to attack Lesnar on the ring entrance stage area, but was held back by security. Lesnar turned on Rhodes near the end of the fallout WrestleMania episode of Raw, that took place on April 3.
Rhodes addressed Lesnar during an in-ring segment that kicked off the April 24 episode of WWE Raw. Rhodes was interrupted by Finn Balor, who asked Rhodes for the Judgement Day to have his back in his match against Lesnar at Backlash. After Rhodes turned down Balor’s offer, he and Balor had a singles match, later in show, which Rhodes won after he hit Balor with the pedigree and then the Cross Rhodes. This was Rhodes’ first match since his loss to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39 Night Two.
Next week’s Raw, which will take place live from the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas is the go-home show Backlash on May 6. It is also night two of the 2023 Draft, which starts this Friday on SmackDown, which will emanate from the American Bank Center Arena in Corpus Christi, Texas.
There has been no other matches or segments announced for next week’s WWE Raw.
