Having recently received his one-year scans, former WWE Champion Big E spoke as a guest on the Battleground podcast on an update to his situation.
Referring to it as a “complicated fracture,” Big E talks about his C1 being broken in two places, thus taking longer to heal. He went on to talk about the scans he had after WrestleMania, but also states he has yet to speak with his doctors about his next steps.
On the other hand, Big E has not dealt with function or pain issues during the course of the recovery, pointing out that his neck has to be in “a certain condition to deal with the rigors of being in the ring on a nightly basis.”
Big E was injured on March 11, 2022, on an episode of SmackDown where he landed on his head after taking an overhead suplex outside the ring.
