The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) appeared on Tuesday night’s episode of NXT, which was the go-home show this Saturday’s Deadline.
Pretty Deadly were in the ring reading their version of A Christmas Story. After they were done, The New Day came out and challenged them to an NXT tag team title match. Both teams ended up in a brawl with, The New Day standing tall after they superkicked Pretty Deadly off the apron and on to the floor.
If The New Day become the new NXT Tag Team Champions, they would be the second team to win all the Tag Team Championships in WWE/NXT. The first team to accomplish this prior was The Revival (ROH, AAA and NJPW World Tag Team Champions FTR in AEW).
