Eight-time NBA All-Star Dwight Howard took part in WWE’s SummerSlam tryout session that was held on Thursday in Nashville, Tennessee. Howard took part in both in-ring drills and a promo showcase, which were all part of the tryout for WWE. He also met Paul Levesque during the session.
Sports Journalist and Sports Media Personality Arash Markazi reported that Howard was at the tryout session for five hours, and also intends to be ringside for Saturday’s SummerSlam It was also noted that Howard is “serious” about his desire to join WWE.
The 36-year old Howard last played for the Los Angeles Lakers He began his NBA career straight out of high school, and was the first overall pick in the 2004 NBA Draft. He also played for the Golden State Warriors Orlando Magic, Houston Rockets, Atlanta Hawks, Philadelphia 76ers, Charlotte Hornets, and the Washington Wizards – all in his 18-year NBA career.
Howard, who played 18 years in the league is not signed to an NBA team currently, but has not announced that he officially retired from the NBA.
