Jim Ross was called about three hours before Monday Night Raw went live two weeks ago in Atlanta the night after Wrestlemania 27 to come to the Phillips Arena. Ross reportedly made it known he just purchased a new expensive suit and with Vince McMahon having a history of having fun with JR on the air, they ran the angle of Michael Cole spraying barbecue sauce all over his suit and face. Ross later wrote the suit was ruined and the company was expected to take care of the expense.
