According to a new report by F4WOnline, it is being said that “time is running out for a deal to be made between WWE and free agent Cody Rhodes” if he is to appear at WrestleMania 38 in Dallas, Texas on April 2 or April 3.
It was further noted that Rhodes and WWE have yet to come to terms on a return to the company. The report states Rhodes and WWE are still negotiating, and the creative had plans for Rhodes at this year’s WrestleMania, but that time is running out in order to get things in motion for his return to the event.
The speculation is that it would make sense for Rhodes to make his WWE return at this coming Monday’s Raw in Jacksonville, FL, but if that Rhodes is not there, a deal likely still will not have been reached.
We had previously reported that what was thought to be a done deal a few weeks ago was said to be up in the air with Rhodes status with returning to WWE. It was noted that things apparently changed, and that something caused uncertainty.
