Bobby Lashley reportedly undergoing shoulder surgery, Could be out at least four months

At Saturday’s Elimination Chamber in Saudi Arabia, WWE Superstar Bobby Lashley was removed from the WWE Championship Match, after his pod door broke and then fell onto him after a Powerbomb from Seth Rollins to Austin Theory. Lashley had to be helped to the back by WWE Officials. He did not return to the match.

After Lashley was removed from the match, WWE announced on Twitter that he (Lashley) entered concussion protocol, and was traveling back to the United States under medical supervision, and then will undergo additional testing.

Several reports, from various media outlets are all indicating Lashley’s injury was part of a storyline.

On Saturday evening various sources and media outlets are reporting that former WWE writer Kazeem Famuyide, stated on The Ringer Wrestling Show, that Lashley is going undergo shoulder surgery for a legitimate injury, and will be out of action for at least four months. Famuyide noted the injury occurred during his match with Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble.

Below is the excerpt from the episode regarding Bobby Lashley:

“I have it under good authority that Bobby Lashley is shoot hurt and has been hurt since the Rumble match…If you noticed he hasn’t worked any Raw’s. He hasn’t really defended his title. He was shoot hurt at the Rumble. Again, I was wondering how they were going to work him in there while being hurt. I’m assuming this concussion protocol thing is the way to get him out there…from what I’m told, it’s for a least four months. Shoulder surgery. I’m hearing that he might not even make it to Mania. From what I’m told he is shoot hurt and should be out for some time.”
