Pat McAfee, the color commentator on WWE Friday Night SmackDown, revealed today that he has tested positive for COVID-19.
McAfee made the announcement by calling into his eponymous talk show, stating that he had a fever of 104.5 degrees. McAfee also stated that he was fully vaccinated against COVID-19, but still got a breakthrough infection.
The positive test came after he was the color commentator for the SmackDown matches at this past Saturday’s Summerslam event. McAfee stated his wife, children, and the people he worked directly with all took COVID-19 tests and came up negative.
Fully Vax’d.
Very Positive.

It’s miserable but thankful that my wife and the boys at the office all took tests and they are all negative.. This is obviously a sign from the universe, probably telling me that I stink & to stay home for a while.
I’ll see yinz
Pat McAfee joined the commentary team for SmackDown this past April following WrestleMania 37.
