Current WWE 24/7 Champion Reginald is now going under the new name of Reggie.
During last night’s WWE SmackDown on FOX the new name was revealed. However, in an WWE Network Exclusive video (view above), Reggie, without his French accent explained the change.
Reggie said some of the following in the exclusive interview regarding him dropping his French accent:
“Look, I’m not from France, I’m from St. Louis, Missouri,” Reggie began. “I’ve been a fan of WWE my entire life, and I saw a posting that Carmella needed a sommelier. He went on to say that he thought he could do that, But Carmella wanted him to speak French, and in a French accent. Champion.”
Reggie, as Reginald signed with WWE January 15, 2020, and made his WWE main roster debut last December.
Wait, wait, wait… you mean to tell me that @ReginaldWWE isn’t French?! Deceiver! Imposter!
