WWE’s taping schedule for the major upcoming holidays has been revealed.
As Christmas and New Year’s Day fall on a Friday this year, there was a question about how WWE would handle the taping of SmackDown. In 2017, WWE Raw aired live on Christmas Day.
According to Inside The Ropes, WWE will tape the Christmas Day episode of SmackDown in advance to allow the performers and their crew to have the holiday off. It is not known when this show will be taped.
The first show of 2021 on New Year’s Day will air live on FOX according to POST Wrestling.
WWE will air next week’s live episode of WWE SmackDown on FS1. We will have full coverage of that show this Friday starting at 8 p.m. Eastern/7 Central.
