During Wednesday night’s episode of WWE NXT on USA, it was announced that new North American Champion Johnny Gargano and WWE NXT Tag Team Champions Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch will both be making their first title defenses on next week’s show.
Gargano face an opponent who has yet to be revealed. Lorcan & Burch will be defending their tag team titles against former champions Breezango.
During Wednesday night’s show, a segment aired with Gargano saying that having short title reigns are the only blemishes on his legacy. Gargano then went on to say he will kill that curse on next week’s show by defending the North American title against “a worthy opponent.”
Gargano captured the North American Championship at the Halloween Havoc themed show by defeating Damian Priest in a Devil’s Playground match. Gargano won the title with help from an unidentified in a Scream costume.
During Wednesday’s segment, Gargano played board games at home with the person in the Scream costume.
