WWE extends lease with the Amway Center

WWE has extended their lease with the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida through the end of November.

First reported by PWInsider and confirmed by F4WOnline, WWE extended the lease lease with Amway Center an additional four weeks. Their current agreement was set to end on October 30. This extension takes them through the end of November.

WWE is able to extend or shorten their lease by giving two weeks notice.

The current deal is structured so that the company must spend at least $200,000 to rent the Amway Center. WWE is spending over $450,000 in the current deal. Here is the breakdown for all events:

— $12,500 for events on Sundays
— $10,000 for events on Monday and Friday
— $7,500 for any other days WWE works inside the arena
— $2,500 for any days work is not being done

Last week, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis opened the state up to allow full attendance at stadiums. WWE’s current contract with the Amway Center does not include allowances for fans to be in attendance. The deal would have to be reworked to allow that.

Spectrum Sports 360’s Jon Alba reported that the Amway Center will be used as a polling place on November 3. WWE does not run any shows on Tuesdays, but the arena would need to be reconfigured to allow this. The Orlando Magic of the NBA, which uses the Amway Center as their home location, insisted on this arrangement.

WWE has been in the Amway Center since August implementing the ThunderDome concept to bring fans back to the arenas digitally.
