Former WWE Champion John Cena announced on Twitter today will host a “Wipeout” revival series on TBS along with Emmy-nominated comedian and actress Nicole Byer. Actress and Model Camille Kostek will serve as the host on the field for the show.
Kostek is currently in a relationship with former WWE 24/7 Champion Rob Gronkowski, who recently came out of retirement from the NFL earlier this year to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers alongside Quarterback Tom Brady.
The original “Wipeout” series aired on ABC from June 24, 2008 to September 7, 2014, and featured contestants competing in what was billed as the “World’s Largest” obstacle course. The show was hosted and commentated by John Henson and John Anderson, while Actress and Model Jill Wagner acted as the “on-location” reporter.
It was reported that the show was going to be revamped for an eighth season as “Wipeout Extreme” for the summer of 2015. However, ABC quietly canceled the show.
According to the press release, the re-imagined series will feature new twists and elements that will push contestants’ athleticism, approach, and determination to even greater extremes, all while delivering some wildly epic fails!
In addition, each game is three rounds with each round featuring a jaw-dropping, multi-stage obstacle course with numerous strategy and decision points designed to further challenge the stamina of the competitors and deliver even more hilarious and surprising wipeouts.
TBS is owned by Warner Media, and its sister station is TNT, which currently airs AEW Dynamite on Wednesday night’s at 8:00 pm ET.

Cena and Byer will command the hysteria of the fan-favorite series by serving up commentary tailored to the all-around hilarity and thrill of the heart-pumping competition, with Camille Kostek (I Feel Pretty) complementing their presence by serving as the entrenched Host in the Field, covering the contestants’ progress throughout each intense round.

Actress, model and host Camille Kostek has been featured in a number of high-profile modeling campaigns, including the sought-after cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue from 2019.
