According to a new report by PWInsider, WWE has made yet another round of cutbacks today. It is being said that it only appears these rounds of cutbacks has been related to office staff who had been furloughed back in April but had not been brought back to work for the company.
Over the last six to eight weeks, WWE has been bringing back a small amount of staff that were placed on furlough with some employees returning every week or so.
As per the same report, many of those being let go today were some who had been waiting on when they were returning to work. It is also being said that the departures today are all across the board, with live events and travel departments hit most hard due to the reduced need for those departments given the lack of touring as a result of COVID-19.
We reported earlier today that WWE Hall of Famer Gerald Brisco revealed on Twitter that he was released from WWE last night after spending 36 years with the company.
As of this report, there has been no word of any talent releases.
