According to Spectrum News 13’s Jeff Allen (through Jon Alba), WWE will be paying the Amway Center nearly $450,000 for their two month residency.
During a city council meeting for Orange County, Mayor Buddy Dwyer confirmed that WWE would be at the Amway Center for a two month residency ending on October 30. Raw, SmackDown, and pay-per-view events will air live from the arena. Dwyer also mentioned that WWE will implement additional safety and cleaning protocols.
It is unclear if WWE will be able to extend beyond the 60 day residency.
No fans will be permitted inside the arena at this time, though WWE will be premiering the WWE ThunderDome concept where fans can register to be part of the crowd through a video stream. The Amway Center will have over a 1,000 LED screens to facilitate this.
I asked City of Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer if #WWE would eventually be able to extend its lease at Amway Center or allow fans, but he just reiterated the lease runs for 60 days and they plan to tape events on Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays (PPV). #ThunderDome pic.twitter.com/lVMbjAxNqQ
