WWE considering moving SummerSlam’s location to a city in New Jersey, details inside

Early in July, WWE confirmed reports that had been out for a while that SummerSlam would not be taking place in Boston as originally planned due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The press release issued said that a new location was forthcoming.

According to a report by F4WOnline, WWE is considering having SummerSlam moved up to Atlantic City, New Jersey. Vince McMahon reportedly wants SummerSlam, one of WWE’s biggest shows of the year, to have a different look as every show since the COVID-19 pandemic began has taken place at the WWE Performance Center, with the exception of some cinematic matches.

McMahon wants to have fans in attendance. Late last week, we reported that WWE was considering having SummerSlam on a beach or a ship. Moving to Atlantic City would allow them to have the show on a beach with fans in attendance. However on Monday, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy decreased the number of indoor gatherings to 25 people and outdoor gatherings to 500 people if social distancing is observed.
