Orange County, site of the WWE Performance Center, mandates businesses to wear face masks

Orange County requires masks

Orange County, the site of the WWE Performance Center and Full Sail University, will be mandating that all residents must wear face masks in public.

Mayor Jerry Demings has issued an executive order mandating that all residents must wear the masks when out in public. The order will go into effect on Saturday and last for an indefinite amount of time. Employees of businesses must wear face masks at all times.

Demings says there will be no criminal sanctions for violating the order at this time. On Thursday, Orange County set a new daily record of 212 new COVID-19 cases.

WWE recently announced a developmental talent being used as a crowd extra tested positive for COVID-19, which forced the company to postpone their television tapings on June 16 to test their talent and staff for the virus. Taping resumed on Wednesday, though there were delays.

The June 26 episode of SmackDown would be the first WWE show to tape during the executive order. It remains to be seen if the company will be the crowd extras wear masks on television.
