After announcing earlier this week the rollout of a free tier for the WWE Network, WWE has suspended the offer of giving the first month of the paid portion for free to new subscribers.
This was first reported by PWInsider and confirmed by F4WOnline. According to Dave Meltzer, the promotion could return during highly watched events such as WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, and SummerSlam.
The idea behind the free tier of the WWE Network with some of their more popular original shows, recent Raws and SmackDowns, as well as historic PPVs and NXT TakeOvers, is potential buyers will see the value and move to a paid subscription.
